After Thrall's triumphant uniting of the clans, the Frostwolves, now led by the orc shaman Drek'Thar, chose to remain in the valley they had for so long called their home. In recent times, however, the relative peace of the Frostwolves has been challenged by the arrival of the Dwarven Stormpike Expedition.
The Stormpike Expedition have set up residence in the valley to search for natural resources and ancient titan relics. Under orders from Magni Bronzebeard, the Ironforge Dwarves were also told to take the land and drive away any who might contest their expedition, with force if necessary. The dwarven presence has sparked heated conflict with the Frostwolf orcs to the south, who have vowed to drive the interlopers from their lands. The Stormpike dwarves sent in an initial, heavily armed expedition, the Stormpike Guard, to search for ancient relics of their past and mine for natural resources.
At this point in time both factions (possibly even the troll faction as well) believe they have historical connections to the valleys and want to take them back.

Hundreds of players had the chance to play Alterac Valley during our test session prior to the official release of the server (videos can be found on Youtube). Since then, and thanks to our IsVV Team, Dev Team and dedicated guilds, this battleground changed significantly. Digging for information regarding this battleground isn't that hard, but finding information on its true pre-nerf form required a tremendous amount of research, from video fragments, old documentation, reviews, old screenshots, and so on.
Alterac Valley will be released soon! Check the video if you think you're prepared
This pre-nerf version of the Alterac Valley will include some exclusive features: quests, spells, items, techniques, creatures. All players with a level 51 character or higher will be able to access this BG for questing, killing, fishing - and more! Be prepared for the most challenging battleground ever made on a private server!
And that's not all!
All other features from patch 1.5 will become available when Alterac Valley is released.
A dedicated announcement will be made soon to describe all of the impacts this patch will have on our realm.
Another announcement will be out before the end of the week and will include patch notes of all of the content fixed in the few past weeks.
