So at least we know they're still alive.

Yes, yes I know, I know!
I'm with you, Tayalynn. I see they are working on increasing performance and my first thought is:
" They are getting ready to release the new server!"Performance is the number one problem on a brand new server. In the early days, when Blizz announced the time and date of their server releases, so many people showed up that lag caused frozen screens and server crashes. It sounds to me like they have determined there will be a HUGE influx of people for the release and want to make sure they can handle the load.
It was such a problem for them, that later on when they brought out new servers they would "stealth them in" - not give a date or time, just vague hints, and they'd open them when most people were at work or school. Even so, many people showed up within minutes of the start. Many people kept refreshing the server list, and suddenly a friend or guild mate would yell - IT"S ALIVE. And we'd all run to the realm list to check.
Always a very exciting and very frustrating time, but filled with much hilarity, and camaraderie, as well. A time of magic.
