Yes, what people don't understand is:

We don't necessarely want the PvE server to be released as much as we want a confirmation whether it will be released or not...

Because at the moment, I have quit leveling on the PvP server, knowing that if the PvE one comes out I'll have to go through all that I've done all over again... But if they just say "no pve servs 4 you lol" then I'll just keep playing as if nothing happened...

They are doing this voluntarily because they like that, so stop flaming and being disrespectful. The week ends on sunday evening, so calm down.
If they don't make any announcement before monday 00.00, then u can start asking why, not before, and with respect!!

Your arguments are so bad. Sure they're doing it for free, but that doesn't mean they can just ignore everyone and make vague and ambiguous tweets that confuses people.

All they have to do is clarify what they meant by "we." People aren't asking for the server to open. They are asking for a little bit of communication.

Possibly they did that on purpose to cause more talk. Possibly not and they just wrote it fast and bad unintentionally.
The fact is they said that will make an announcement the next week (it is what is meant) and all ppl is losing his mind for a little slip in their tweet. Possibly don't want to answer why they wrote it bad because they don't want to talk about it before the official and expected announcement (to create more hype!)
So let's w8 till sunday, I'm sure they'll solve our doubts

it will be a little because most from PvP to go to PVE
so 3000 on PVP and 3000 on PVE and we can got 2 stable servers for nice playing

sorry for my bad englsih

Radvo wrote:BREAKING NEWS: They have just posted on Twitter :

"An important upgrade for performance will be applied at next scheduled server restart. Goal is to reduce lag on continents."

So at least we know they're still alive.

Tayalynn wrote:I´ve been told I´m too positive a person; When I read that update I just think, Hm, they are doing something to increase performance! Releasing a PvE server would do that! Yay, here we go! :D Yes, yes I know, I know!

I'm with you, Tayalynn. I see they are working on increasing performance and my first thought is:

" They are getting ready to release the new server!"

Performance is the number one problem on a brand new server. In the early days, when Blizz announced the time and date of their server releases, so many people showed up that lag caused frozen screens and server crashes. It sounds to me like they have determined there will be a HUGE influx of people for the release and want to make sure they can handle the load.

It was such a problem for them, that later on when they brought out new servers they would "stealth them in" - not give a date or time, just vague hints, and they'd open them when most people were at work or school. Even so, many people showed up within minutes of the start. Many people kept refreshing the server list, and suddenly a friend or guild mate would yell - IT"S ALIVE. And we'd all run to the realm list to check.

Always a very exciting and very frustrating time, but filled with much hilarity, and camaraderie, as well. A time of magic.

I tend to think that them staying so silent has to do with une grande suprise.

I don't know, but people are pretty hyped about it, not only that, the nost staff posted something vague, didn't rectify it nor did anything to calm the people down.

I'm sure everyone is going to explode if they suddenly come up with the server or a date in the very near future. This silence would then only be building up the tension, them sniggering behind the screens, knowing they can give us so much so soon.

Maybe I'm expecting waaay too much, but I like to keep myself busy, as well as on the positive side of things. Ah, one can dream.

*flips the 'far too positive' switch back into position* culpriiiiiiit, I'm coming for you!

edit: horrible sentences... shouldn't do this to the world

I highly doubt it will be a 3k-3k split. Around 1k-2k will either stop on the PvP server or play on both the PvP server and pve. The pve server will get more people who left Nost because in their opinion it was either too busy or had too much ganking. It will also draw in a long line of people looking for a blizzlike vanilla pve server. The PvP server might regain some players lost to prime time lag. Hopefully this will mean not to much change on the current server.
