I wouldn't be surprised is they announced it close to the server going up to try and alleviate some of the glut. Also, total speculation but release during a slow period for the PvP server seems rational to me. Don't want a brand new server and a server that's bumping at the same time if you can help it.

Same. I almost feel bad for that server, as its low population is gonna be even lower next week when Nos launches their new realm.
