ok i have the token BUT i cant get e mail validation no matter what. I used 4 different email domains the last 20 hours and no validation at all :cry:

So i made an elysium account, somehow put my token in even tho i didn't verify my account. Now it says i have to verify my account to activate the token but i won't get the e-mail. And no i didn't us an Google mail account. Can anybody help?

Wow, i am quite upset, and would have no idea how my account could have been compromised, no account sharing and i never accessed Nost apart from home network... unless the Nost database was compromised and my sensitive information retrieved :cry: if which is the case i am deeply concerned.



While i realise the Devs are doing everything they can in anticipation for the launch, i still want to push for a more coherent answer then what you have posted Pottu.

There is a difference between being banned for hacking/exploiting/gold selling and having your account compromised by somebody else which could easily be viewed in logs and IP addressed, one which i can backup myself if required.

Having months and months of work taken away and without justification is something i wouldn't have expected from "The best vanilla private server", and is frankly not fair.

Elysium is working on a solution to that issue. Please follow their forum for updates.

We were not compromised. The most common reason was that players used the same account name and password combination as they did on other servers and that's malicious users gained access to a fair number of accounts. I'm not saying that is what happened to your account, just that it was a common issue.

Account security has always been the responsibility of the player. Compromised accounts were banned permanently.

As Daemon stated in the announcement, Nostalrius is no longer reviewing bans. I'm sorry I couldn't help you in this issue.

When I created my Elysium account, I spelled my username wrong. I wonder if they will allow you to change your username. There has to be a way to contact them. They dont have a direct email and their forum is down right now.

I'm confused. I have not been keeping watch on forums, and only been seeing rare updates via twitter, which led me to this thread. I used the link in the OP's post, and it created a token, that was a bunch of random letters numbers and symbols.

Now what?

I know this was asked on first page by someone else, but I have the same question: now what? What do I do with this text stuff?

I was about to go take a nap but this caught my attention and I understand there is a deadline so I wanted to take care of it asap.

By the way, I tried to use my login info that I had used to log into Nostralious' game client, but that info (which has been unchanged) would not work when trying to log into these forums today. I had to make a new account today to post my question here. I do not recall ever signing up for posting on the forums, so since the game account info failed to log in here, I assume the accounts would be different? Am I right, or is something funky going on preventing my nost account from logging into these forums?

and this new website, Elysium, I am unfamiliar with it, and did a search and multiple different results came up. Which one is official? I assume I am supposed to do something with the Token text that generated with the link in the OP... But as far as the Elysium website (which I have never seen or heard of before today), I do not know which link in search results to trust :/

I could really use some thorough explaining on what to do. I had characters on Nost I would like to keep playing with.

To the person reviewing posts before they are accepted into the thread: Please disregard my last post that is still pending review as I type this, my post pending review has not yet shown up in this thread when I found solution to my questions that I had in that that pending review post. Also, please delete this first paragraph if you can, thank you.

I had not known what to do with this token at first, I was about to take a nap, but the urgency of getting this done drew me away from that nap. Frustrated that I was still confused after reading over 5 pages, as I was still wondering, "I got my token code, now what?"

I found my answers on page 12, (which took me quite some time to reach) noxm linked the step by step guide here: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=44988

I'd like to suggest the OP of this thread add that step by step link to their post? I came to this thread directly from Twitter which has been my only source of up-to-date info on Nostalrius. The OP was not informative enough on what to do to transfer characters over. It was missing those step-by-step instructions as well as missing a link to the elysium's official website (which I had never heard about until a few hours ago). There appears to be several different (not official) websites on search results already, so a link to the official one could be useful to numerous people who also follow the Twitter.

I do not browse these forums. The only occasions I do read these forums comes from Twitter links. This thread was linked by the Twitter. The first word I had heard about a transfer is in this thread, and links within this thread guide me to other threads to help me understand this process. The text in the op of this post is very important! I wish it was not lacking info I had to go looking for.

I thought that vanilla servers were gone for good, forbidden to be legal by Blizzard, until I heard rumor this week saying otherwise, and Nost's Tweet today confirmed that rumor for me. I am so thrilled! I didn't want to go to my nap with my account waiting to be transferred with my Nost characters!

My account transfer looks good now, I got this message on elysium-project's website "Success! Your characters are ready to rejoin your friends in the battle for Azeroth."

Once I had seen the step-by-step guide linked on page 12 viewtopic.php?f=76&t=44988 the process took less than 15 minutes.

Both Elysium and Nost emails to my old @aim.com email aren't going through. It wasn't a problem with Elysium as I could just create a gmail account, but as for Nost I'm stuck with the old email. I'm currently logged into it right now, and can confirm any account info such as full character name lists(its not this account, as for some reason I can't log on the forums with my actual account. Although the token generator accepted my email/username combo). Is there any way to get an email sent outside of the automatic system to my registered email, or to a different email?

I've already checked my spam/cleared cache on browser and all that good stuff, and since it didn't work with Elysium I'm pretty sure its a problem with the shitty aim email, but I have to stick with it to get my characters back. Any help would be appreciated. Even a confirmation from someone else who happened to use an aim.com email and received their token code.

It has been almost 24 hours since I first requested my token from Nostalrius to my Gmail, and still don't have it in my inbox nor my spam folder. The nost site said it sent the token to my gmail. Is it because I have a period in my gmail address?

I tried multiple times again today, and it continues telling me the token has been e-mailed to me. I've done it in chrome, IE, and Firefox.


edit: alright well I just sat there resending the token over and over and it eventually worked in this last five minutes.
