Message to the private servers community

Would just like to share my experience...

I'm currently a level 38 Horde Priest. I don't mind a good, even-leveled fair fight...and in retail I have only ever played on PvP servers. But I've lost so much time because I'm getting killed constantly, as everything from about level 25 and beyond has been contested. I'll get jumped at 10% mana and I literally can only just watch for the 5 seconds I have.

And honestly...it's not even that I'm being greifed or camped...as I'm generally getting ganked by a completely different ?? each time. It's like they're everywhere just trolling around.

This is no dig toward the Alliance players...as I'm certain there are just as many Horde players doing the same thing. I just honestly cannot recall so many higher level players killing lower level players in retail, and for the first time ever I would like to try a PvE server because of this...knowing that my toon and the PvP server will continue to exist so I can always switch back.

I am grateful that this server exists, and if my experience makes me a "carebear" then so be it. 1700 people logging on for a 30-minute window, when they state that the server would cap at 2500 is a giant success in my mind. I am in full support and hope they release a PvE server.

Well at least we know when we're an answer now. Even if the wording did make it seem as though they've decided against it.

However I have to say, reading this thread has saddened me. Saddened me with the rampant displays of immaturity, complete lack of patience and a bewildering sense of entitlement to people who do this in their spare time. If the staff decided against a PvE server purely due to the complete disrespect shown in this thread, I'd completely understand.

I was very excited when I started playing this game, but the community has really soured me to it completely. The verbal attacks, name calling, judgment calls and chiding of other players .... smh (oops I guess I just chided and made a judgment as well, oh well guess I'll be like ya'all if you can't beat em join em)


And to the person who asked for a screenshot .. there was a vague screenshot, not much to decipher, but in the end it was decided that "We" meant Wendingo.

Don't let a few people who were having meltdowns ruin your play experience. Plenty of us are still awesome! :]

I'm on the fence to reinstall the wow client. I'm not so sure about the the community.

I didn't see anything about an announcement being issued at the end of this week? All that was officially said was that it would be before this 'we' via twitter. We have every right to respectfully post on this forum asking politely for any further information. Only a few of us were rude so don't label us all by the same brush.

You disagree with the players handling of the situation and spoke your mind.
The players on the forum disagreed with Nostalrius's handling of the situation and spoke their mind.

You can slice "entitlement" in a lot of different ways. That word is the tabard of a white knight. You guys just can't help yourself from throwing it around every chance you get. Maybe posters here felt mislead and disrespected when they were ignored. Communication is the key to any healthy relationship. Business, pleasure or otherwise. Without that you are on thin ice.

judging the community based on this forum is like judging them based on general/world chat. it's only a small percentage of people posting on either compared to the large mass that actually play.

I only ask because I've been following this thread and did not see 1 ss of an ingame announcement saying weekend. The only published thing was the twitter post saying "we" and the ss you posted.

Some were rude and a bit entitled. I think if they had just announced in this thread, after the test stating the announcement would happen during the weekend would have made all of this non existent. I really really hope this doesnt change nost staff mind on the server, and I also hope it hasnt driven potential player base away.
