wait... 2500 players cap?

You think 2500 cap is too low? How many people do you expect to play regularly on NosPvE? Even if the stress test event was widely advertised, many players couldn't join due to their RL obbligations. The ones that could, did organize RL schedules so to be able to partecipate to the test event. How often could you do that? Every day of the week? just during the weekends? only when on vacation? And for how long? 2 hours a day? 6? And what about the players from the USA? at 2 AM when you are about to log off and go to bed, they just finished their dinner and are (maybe) about to log on. And those from LA are stil @work..but you and a big chunk of EU players are already catching ZZ's.
There will be peaks and downs like on all servers. On (hopefully) rare occasions the cap will be enforced, but most of the time it won't be needed at all. Pray the gods that I'm wrong.

I expected at least 4000. And i ain't even living in Europe, why do you think that.

And if you buy it now, one free toilet scrubber!!!!

But I already use my toilet scrubber as a seat, I don't think I could handle 2.

I have a friend that just told me that he wanted to try and play this server. But now that the PvE is confirmed, i am considering the fact of the players number cap being 2500, with the tons of other players that will out number the cap, trying to connect on the PvE server, it will take hours and hours to get out of the queue and be able to play. Should me and my friend go and stay on the PvP server, or wait for the PvE and ''suffer'' the queues...? I don't know what to do anymore now O_o

I quitted playing on PvP servers and am currently playing on another PvE server while waiting for 'our own' PvE server to come online. I am aware that I will need to redo everything from scratch, but it's okay. It's fun to run once again through Westfall, Redridge, Wetlands, Loch Modan
If the queue turns up really nasty, will wait a bit for the hype to die down, no problem, can get busy elsewhere for a while.

Reading all these QQing posts about how 2.5k is too low really just..grinds me the wrong way. You guys do realize that having anything higher doesn't only effect world PVP(which wont be an issue anymore) but also effects mobs, herbs and nodes availability? Not to mention server performances.. you guys would throw all of that away just for a more ''lively'' world? Which with 2.5k is plenty alive already. Do any of you understand how important that cap is? THE WHOLE GAME IS DESIGN AROUND IT, FROM THE AMOUNT OF MOBS INSIDE A ZONE TO RESPAWN TIMES OF SAID MOBS AND DAMN QUEST ITEMS THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT 5MINS FOR. Altering these spawns doesn't completely resolve the overpopulation either.

Also to everyone saying that most people are upset with this feature thus it should be changed or they wont play; no one is forcing you to play on this server once it comes out so please stop inserting words inside everyone's mouth and stop expecting the worst case scenario with 8-10hr queue times..the server isn't even out yet. At the end of the day you cant please every single person. Think about the people who do want to play on a server with a 2.5k player cap.

Edit: oh and I'm sure the constant bickering and negativity really helps motivating the staff.

First they complained about not having a PVE server, then complained about not getting updated on status of said PVE server census...

Now its complaining about a queue that doesn't even exist cause the server hasn't been opened yet.

its wrong to complain about things that will happen eventually ? uh... dude.

I do not complain, I'm happy that a pve server comes out, so dont go on me now :)). But theres seriously no problem if ppl complain or talk about things that might/will happen. Why do u think theres a forum,... :>

Why the queue on PvE but not on PvP? You'd think they'd at least find a happy middle point, like 5000 each server. Seems a little silly to have one queued and the other not.

Also if you don't like the community no one is forcing you to stay here. Stop expecting everyone to act and think exactly the same as you.

It is written nowhere that the above isn't subject to change, 2.5k cap could be what they start with and they could adjust accordingly. You're assuming its set it stone.

Agreed! What we really don't want is people acting like adults, we need more tears and bickering on this here forum so the devs will truly know how we feel and how much of a mistake there making with this queue hogwash. (sarcasm if it wasn't Capt. Obvious)
