Message to the private servers community

Purging my comp for win10 and decide to question if I should keep Nost or not, having not played in a while. On a whim I come to the forums and find my way to this thread.

All I can say is thank you. I was one of the many whiners that hated getting ganked while levelling. one of those people who wanted to choose when I PvE/PvP and the general response being "Just leave the server lol" caused me to do just that. I don't even care about having to re-level on this new server, I'm just thrilled I can play on it. Even better, with the PvE server option I have a bunch of friends who are now excited to start too.

I think a new server would be great and will bring a lot of NEW and old(inaktive) player.

Iam a PvP Player. But i hate ganking, because most of the time people attack someone with half life or 10level difference. This is not fair and this is no real pvp. Battleground and Arena(TBC) is pvp for me, not this ganking shit.

Thats the reason why i prefere a pve server.

Finally!! I will definitely come back to Nostalrius if they open this pve server.
Unfortunately, I can't log in during that test perioid but hopefully there will be enough ppl online.
I can't wait to start here again!

EDIT: People keep talking about splitting the server... a lot have quit playing here because of world pvp and now they would come back..

This is great news. I won't be able to make the login time, but I also am pumped to see a true vanilla PVE server. I'll be leaving the other private servers I'm on and rerolling on Nost's pve server as soon as I can.

This is great. I couldn't stand all the ganking of an open PvP world, so I tried a lot of PvE vanilla servers. However, nothing compares to Nostalrius. A PvE Nostalrius will be very successful.

I read a lot of QQ from the hardline PvPers, and I don't blame them. The PvP server will take a hit. Open world pvp servers tend to decline greatly with time because of the increasing difficulty for new players to succeed. With a viable PvE server available; the PvP server will have trouble getting new players. I know many who love PvP and consider it well worth it, but the vast majority will not.

A PvE Nostalrius server will be extremely successful. I can't wait.

I'd absolutely love to play on a normal server instead of a Gank Server, but seriously, I just invested a month of time into my first 60 here...really not wanting to start over from scratch AGAIN.

Fantastic news, I've just signed up for the first time and my other half will be joining too if this happens. I think this will probably attract quite a lot of new players if it's publicised enough, as the only alternative I could actually find is entirely German language, which makes it rather challenging to find groups when I understand very little in chat; I'll be glad to reroll over here.

I would love to reroll on a new PVE realm.

I have a level 60 character here and multiple level 40+. The whole time leveling I've been reminded of how much better if would be to play on a PVE realm. It's not only better while leveling, when you're 60 and running dungeons it's frustrating for you and your group when people are ganked at Thorium Point, Blackrock Mountain etc.

Real PVP happens in the arena and in battlegrounds, that's exactly the same on a PVE realm. I've won arena seasons on retail and enjoy PVP there. Killing leveling low levels characters for fun on a 1x realm with vanilla corpseruns or anyone in the open world is just sadistic and cruel.

Another point of interest for me would be the new race when a new server opens. I missed the initial Nostalrius release and would love to start over on a fresh server.

I'll definitely reroll another toon, and probably level it faster then I'm leveling now due to ganking.

All you whining gankers saying it's going to destroy the realm and dilute the player base have no one to blame except yourselves. If you showed more self control, and didn't gank lowbies when they were trying to level maybe they would still want to hang out on the PVP side. So take responsibility for your actions and just man up and accept that people have a right to enjoy the game. Or continue to whine .. no sweat off my back.

You can go ahead and flame me .. I know any criticism of your unsocial ways is not welcome, but my post is intended as support for Nostalrius going forward with the new server. It's not intended to change the mindset of those with little to no introspection on cause and effect of their actions.
