Will there be an announcement like for the PvP Server when we can buy them in BoE versions?
With reference to
https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19657 , pre-1.4 mounts were not implemented on the Nostalrius PvE server. The 1.12 mount system is used from the start.
Prices are, undiscounted / -10% / -20% discount for Honored+ rep or PvP Rank 3+
10G/9G/8G normal mount, 100G/90G/80G epic mount,
90G/81G/72G apprentice riding and 900G/810G/720G journeyman riding, secondary professions,
Only mounts of the same faction can be purchased with Exalted for that race.
The only change with this 1.4/1.5 patch is that normal mounts become BoP.
In the original WoW, "base cost of a mount was 20g for the (mount-specific) riding skill and 80g for the L40 mount. Upgrading to an Elite mount used to cost 1000g."

80G/72G/64G normal mount, 1000G/900G/800G upgrade that normal mount to epic mount,
20G/18G/16G per riding racial ability.
Pre 1.4, mounts were Bind on Use and could be sold on AH, which was done by PvP players to sell at a profit.
Pre 1.3, any mount could be purchased with Exalted for that race, including cross-faction.
TL;DR. Mount system is 1.12 already. Undiscounted, 1 normal mount 3 epic mounts cost you 100+1000+100+100 = 1300G, instead of a whopping 1100G*3 = 3300G what it used to be. Be happy. Let's PvP this Sunday.
