Why couldn't you just pick up where you left off? I'm not gonna play any russian server where I have 200+ ping. Playing nostalrius with around 130-150 ping was fucking abysmal as is.

Ping is better on Elysium for US players than it was on Nost.... You can go check it yourself, assuming you live in USA.

I get 250 ping on Kronos and I'm on the west coast. No way I'm getting any sort of better ping from a russian server.

If you guys can read the lines a bit better, Elysium will essentially be Nostalrius 2. Some Nost folks are already working there and I am sure other key people will as well, but anonymously.

It's not like they can launch Nostalrius 2 with the same named admins/developers since they met with Blizzard folks IRL.

I am really looking at this as Nostalrius 2 with Nostalrius and Elysium people working together.

And, for those worried about your Nostalrius toons, Elysium may just launch the old DB. Look for their announcement.

There ya go. 17 pages of cries only. Now people have relaxed and started to think. And the people who spent a few minutes thinking about it first instead of bitching about it are now talking. So as you see...it ain't that bad. The staff will be there. The code will be there. Seems like the DB will be there. And all those trolls and kids you just love some much will be there too because they don't have a choice. They don't want to be left out you see.

Yep, they have become a brand, and would have had enormous publicity and player base..... But it's therr choice.... What they have told us is to go on Elysium and make a new community.. So, go there, make a toon and build it. Bottom line, it's the players and numbers that make a server great....

No community alone doesn't make a server great! The Elysium team sucks and their scripting skills suck too. Thats why Elysium at all suck even if the community is good.
