2500 cap would be cool if we had more servers to play, each one with the cap, but the problem is that we only have one, and everyone wants to connect to it.

Reading all these QQing posts about how 2.5k is too low really just..grinds me the wrong way. You guys do realize that having anything higher doesn't only effect world PVP(which wont be an issue anymore) but also effects mobs, herbs and nodes availability? Not to mention server performances.. you guys would throw all of that away just for a more ''lively'' world? Which with 2.5k is plenty alive already. Do any of you understand how important that cap is? THE WHOLE GAME IS DESIGN AROUND IT, FROM THE AMOUNT OF MOBS INSIDE A ZONE TO RESPAWN TIMES OF SAID MOBS AND DAMN QUEST ITEMS THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT 5MINS FOR. Altering these spawns doesn't completely resolve the overpopulation either.

LOL! Ok fine, then implement the cap on the PVP server and see how that works out. It's the way the game was intended? That's why it didn't last right? Myself as well as others won't bother sitting in a queue to play a game. No server transfers is the straw that breaks the camels back for me. I hate getting ganked by level ??s constantly as well but I'm not starting over from scratch and not playing on a low pop server. Double whammy.

Implementing a cap on the PVP server right now wouldn't be fair at all since it didn't launch with one. Wait what didn't last?

Oh and I can also say ''myself as well as others'' think that 2.5k is actually a high population and think that with a maintained population its all well worth a queue or starting completely anew in the long run. We'll do our own thing and you'll continue to do yours, so I don't see what the problem is really.

Honestly, what's the point of a PVE server if you can't even transfer your toons? It's a complete waste for people that have been playing on the PVP server and leveling toons getting ganked every 10 minutes. Now we have to start over from the beginning? So basically we get punished for not liking forced pvp but putting up with it the last 3 months? Sorry but it's pointless if that's the case. Why can't we copy toons to the pve server? It can't be that difficult. I'd rather see the devs work on getting the latest vanilla content out.

I have 60lvl pre raid bis tank and I am happy to start over, since I want to experience the fresh server start. Toons transfer will fuck this up.

How about we all stop the QQ about having to re-roll. Isn't that why we play here? To relive the glory days? How about we instead thank the powers that be for the opportunity to play a PvE server without having to pay for it?

I appreciate the banter and understand the investment of both time and effort to level characters, but the point here is that we have the ability to be a part of something new. We get to hit the RESET button and forge new relationships along our journeys. I look forward to the chance to level with some of the best players in the game, rather than sit in Stormwind on my level 5 admiring the gear on all the 60s. Getting to end game content at relatively the same time as others will be exciting and new. Transferring to virgin server will wreck that experience not only for me, but for those who have transferred as well.

I see the idea of transferring characters to a new server as though the first setttlers in America expected to come to the New World with pre-established cities and infastructure. Sure it would be much more convenient, but it robs us of the opportunity to build something together. It would destroy any real meaning or sense of accomplishment. I realize that I sound kinda like a tree hugging hippie singing Kum by ahh (or whatever) but let us not forget that what made WoW awesome was that we all shared the same struggles and made great friends along the way.

Thanks to the fine folks behind Nostralrius, I am grateful and appreciate the effort you all put into making the Vanilla WoW experience available to so many people for nothing more than the love of the game.

I can understand that it isnt a problem for you. But what about the rest? I don't find funny coming from work, wanting to play some wow and, WHOPS, half hour queue.

(this is my personal opinion)

^^^ This.
No 60's that CBA to join your low lvl dungeon, or help you out there in the wilderness etc.
MUCH more people of the same/similar level range for running dungeons/questing/helping with elite quests, NO piles of gold, no crazy inflated prices on AH, YES to early-server equipment barter :)
The only time in the life of a server when you can actually watch announcements like "WTT itemX for itemY"
Running low lvl dungeons for hat coool 'blue' item that wouldn't drop from the boss no matter what ;)
I agree that the queue is not a fun thing, but it is necessary if we have to fully enjoy the game.
And for those QQ-ers that claim they won't play if the queue will be, a little evil comment: if there IS a queue, we wouldn't relly miss you, would we? /evil mode <off>
Ok since teh question went sortof out of fashion ill refresh the hype: WHEN??

Refresh the hype? Try resuscitate the hype. The hype was in the hopes that they would have an ounce of logic in the prep and release of the pve server, instead it was a build up for a let down. You can tell by how slowly the threads about it are moving these days.

I'm still checking every day for news but I can't be bothered to take part in the hype with a foggy "soon™" as the release date. I think most of us feel this way.
