go back to retail forums and troll there please.

Don't have account, lend me yours I'm sure such a die-hard blizz boi will have one. Anyway its not a troll its counter - argument. Deal with it :*

Its a stupid argument, since its obvious retail will have more players - ITS OFFICIAL, meanwhile private servers are well private. But the difference is, if you look at how many people were drawn to Nost alone vs the constant flow of people leaving retail. Counter argument with something less stupid next time before you go full retard.

Damn. There's the seal.
If that doesn't shut this fickle troll up then idk what will

Anyways, I can't wait to see what Blizzard's interpretation of "Legacy" servers are, if any. Either way I would rather that Nostalrius opened back up because it seems clear that Nost cared more about the content and experience than Blizzard as a whole ever did and likely ever will. Regardless, it feels good to check these forums at least once a day.

I want to share my analyse.

After the meeting, Blizzard said they would keep talking to Nost team. But they didnt. The Nost team understood this like a "NO" for legacy servers. They had to make a move. So, they did their announcement. Its like a threat for Blizzard. Nost team want the Blizzard's attention. This announcement is here to push Blizzard to talk to them again.

Its like poker. Blizzard is the leader on the table. The nost team says "All-in!" because if nothing happened, they would lose the game (no announcement at the Blizzcon). If I was Blizzard at this table, I would think: "What the fuck is going on here? What does he wants to do? Has he got AA or 72?"

Its even possible that the Nost team didnt know what to announce if nothing happened at the Blizzcon. I think the only goal of this announcement is to have Blizzard's attention, to make them move before the Blizzcon, or talk to Nost, as they promised. Think about it. If not, why dont they announcement directly that Nostalrius would re-open if Blizzard doesnt announce anything? Or, that they will release the source code?

This announcement smells the desperate bet. I hope its not a bluff. I really want some details to believe in.

But, after all, I am a fish at poker :D

Finally found my password!

I'm actually hyped, but I don't know what for. From this announcement I take it Blizzard hasn't been responding? My positive side thinks it's a tricky way to get people glued to blizzcon in the hopes of them announcing a legacy server, but my more intelligent side feels this is more of a threat towards blizzard.

Either way, if you are still of the action (and you guys did a ton of work, I really appreciate it), then I'm 100% behind you. I'm willing to pay if there's a way. I'm sick and tired of Blizzard and their lies and their insane RNG on everything. I hope they collectively screw up their face as in the back of their minds they know a transaction went your way.
There are no two sides, there's only the group.

Let me share mine.
After Nostalrius talked to Blizzard they continued working on their server code for Vanilla and TBC, fixing bugs and quests and all that good stuff. Now they gave all of this to Blizzard - so Blizz has no excuse that something is missing or not working properly.

Alternatively: Nost team _knows_ for a fact that Blizzard will announce legacy servers at BlizzCon because they were told so but they are bound by an NDA and aren't allowed to tell us. This is their way of telling us.

Interesting theory! All I know is I've never been so excited for a Blizzcon. To see what will or won't be said.

"Constant flow of people leaving retail" thats the fairy tale (unless you got a valid backup in numbers from some valid blizz hq leak source O_o) we keep hearing for years now, since blizzard don't share their data anymore and streamer world for official only grows I dare to say its not valid statement (fact that you or I don't like retail and surround ourselves with people that also don't like it doesn't mean there ain't LEGIONS of retail fans that actually, sincerely enjoys it for some reason). Impossible to prove tho so I'll not go full retard on this. Anyway retail is such a railway for various hate trains, e.g WoD had massive complaints how game is theme park with its garrisons and ease of getting gear, things changed A BIT (not much) in Legion and game require much more grinding (for maximum legendary slots etc) and there is another uber hate train flagged with "Not alt friendly game" that I don't really believe we will ever get unbiased "State of WoW" review anymore from anyone. Thats coming from someone that knows about Legion from VoDs and streams so I don't know the whole picture, for me its simple, char progression is very limitted in retail thus its a no go for me but after seeing their new karahzan remake I gotta give to them they got eye for detail still. Instance looks great. Anyway it ended up offtop for some reason... Lets not talk about retail here mby?:D

What's going to happen:

Blizzard says nothing cuz they're terrible human beings.

Nost relaunches in Sweden where they cannot be sued.

New server has same database, logs, and characters, accounts.

It's renamed

Nostalrius Returns

The hype train is literally so strong people die of heartattacks. AQ released in December

or Blizz does release legacy and it's done by during that 25th anniversary segment or whatever they start showing SC1 WC1 and WoW in the original game boxes.

The crowd begins to chant

"We want Legacy"

Bobby Kotick comes out on stage

Vegetables and fruits start being pelted at him, he's weaving like a rogue who pop Ev

"Stop stop, I have an announcement to make"

The entire building ceases all sound

"Legacy"

The crowd literally explodes from excitement, the scene from the Matrix where Neo defeats Smith is the closest thing I can think of, and Zion goes crazy with joy.

The Woo HOOs the FUCK yas the OMG LEGACY YESSSSSSSSSS

The crowd begins to dance the song after Nihilum killed Kel Thuzad and were dancing in orgrimmar
