I don't think anyone would care about a 30 minute queue. Big deal.

I think people are worried about several hours in a queue. Most people with jobs do not have the luxury of spending every minute of the time they have available for entertainment, in a queue. Furthermore, even the "lucky" people who do manage to get in, can get disconnected. On the PVP realm, I disconnect several times every single week. On the new server, it will mean the night is now shot.

That kind of repeated disappointment will leave a lot of sour taste and bad publicity for Nostalrius.

On retail, isn't there like a window of time where, if you play on a highly populated server and disconnect, you can reconnect and instantly get back into the game and avoid the queue if you do it within 10 or 15 minutes? Maybe the staff could implement that here on Nostalrius; if you get dc'd while playing and login within 15 minutes, you can skip the queue and get right back where you left off to keep account interruption at a minimum.

30 minute queue? If there are 2.700 players on 2.500 server the queue might be of just 30 minutes.

Can you imagine 3.000 or 4.000 players on a server with 2.500 cap? :D

That would mean that, after many ill-fated PvE vanilla servers out there in the privater servers broth, Nostalrius hit the proverbial nail on the head
Hey just noticed, we got forums poster ranks now. And our Lord said:"Let there be spam!"

Being one of the people that played on 8k queues back in vanilla on 2,5k cap was annoying .. lets hope there aint way to many at the beginning so we can get a chance to get ahead

Before I started here, I watched a youtube of a guy who streamed his adventure on one of the first (maybe THE first) days of Nostalrius. There were 5,000 people on line. Nostalrius is much more well known now. They had more than double the people for their PvE test than they had on their PTR before launch.

Extrapolating, I don't think it's too far fetched to imagine 10,000 people trying to get on a server with a 2,500 cap.

On the private server I played back then, we were hoping it to crash in order to enter. :D

The queue was awful due of many people leaving chars AFK to not need to requeue again.

Also, many people have multi-account to check spawn, auction and vendor.

Can you imagine? A single person occupying 3-4 slots of a capped server?

Well done, well done...
