And for that reason I'd never go back to Blizzard again, even if they're going to build Classic/TBC/Wotlk-Serves...

I only wished to see the end of naxx, I don't care for legacy servers. This was my opportunity to finish a journey I started 10years 6months ago

I would also like to thank to devs, GMs and the community. You, especially the devs, should be proud about what you have accomplished. It was a good experience, way better than anything that I encountered on retail.

That being said, I really hope it's not the end yet. That someone will take the data and move the server somewhere Blizzard couldn't reach it - Serbia, Belarus, Iran, Russia, Brazil or Venezuela all seem to be good candidates for that. That I will see you anywhere else in the world. The enemy has destroyed our base, but we still have one SCV, that can rebuild everything, that you have accomplished somewhere else in the world.

Don't give up, people. We might still win this.

This was the most fun I've had on this game since Vanilla BC. This server felt like the real deal. It's a shame to see this go so soon for me. It was popular for a reason. It was the closest to reliving vanilla wow we can get, but it is also for this reason that it was shut down. Having enough people to fill 3-4 retail servers was too big a threat for Blizzard.

Hey Nostalrius,

I have been playing up and on for almost a year. And even tho I never reached 60 (mainly cause i'm the worst althoholic in the world, I go to AA meetings and such...), I had the best of times here.

Yesterday evening I got the news and it really felt as if I lost something important. I Have played wow since late 05 and early 06 all the way up to Pandaria. Everything after TBC was getting less. I have had huge intervals of not playing on retail for this reason.

Never been a fan (read: sceptic) of Private servers until I got here. And I want to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you developers, volunteers and of course all the people I played with.
I think I speak for more people here.

Nostalgia had something special. Not just the game mechanic and satisfaction from your hard efforts, for me, it was mainly the community. Almost each and every player on Nostalrius came there for a reason. We all had the same in mind. And I am damn proud I was part of this international project that formed so well.
Making new friends, the courtesy, the friendliness, the finding a group and walking to a dungeon together and clear it together while socializing. Not this join a que with random strangers to grind some numbers to get your epic set in 2 days. It's something you hardly find anywhere, yet alone on retail nowadays, unless it's some unknown upcoming hardcore alpha game on steam.

It truly was the old MMO it used to be and better. I will miss Barrens chat, I will miss you all.

For me, I have small hopes this gets a resurrection or a restart in a server the bloody greedy yanks cant get their paws on. I saw one person put it nicely. "Blizzard is no longer a game maker, it became a company."

Thank you Nostalrius, thank you for giving me back that true feeling of bonding in a game with people all over the world and set out for a epic adventure.

This makes me extremely sad :(.

I haven't played much as of lately, but I leveled again my beloved undead priest to 60 here. Since the legendary vanilla days, I haven't had such a wonderful time with a videogame. The feeling was the same as those days (and I know what I'm talking about), and the community was awesome. I miss only getting to know more kind people :(.

Thanks to all the people who put this together. I love you all.

Stand trial for what? What law is being broken? Are they going to sue all the Youtube users for uploading blizzard content too? Is taking the Server down going to stop the formal law suit? May we see the formal letter?

Had a few hours to process this whole thing, and when I think about my time with Nostalrius there's really only one thing I want to express now that it's coming to an end. That is gratitude, this was an amazing experience, the entire Nost team was top notch dedicating their free time to putting out the greatest version of vanilla WoW possible.

In so many ways it surpassed the original, when I think back on playing any mmo with 14 thousand players on one server at a time, it truly boggles my mind what you guys were able to accomplish.

So once again thank you all, and I wish you all the absolute best of luck in future endeavors.
