Guys, reopen Nostalrius... They aint never gonna give retail Vanilla as you want it, ever never never! I would be satisfied if they just returned the old quests and pre-Cata world that i love. I never was i hardcore player due to tight schedules, but i long for the world where I need to team up with people the moment i start playing, in order to kill Princess, Hogger or Bellygrub... I want Soutshore as it was and no million goddamn hillarious looking mounts or Harley Bikes polluting Elwyn Forest... I want the leveling ratio the same and difficulty to kill a mob the same, so i would be satisfied with something Vanilla like, and that's the best they might come up with and the best to hope for. They will keep the new talent, spec, spell system for sure. They consider the old system obsolete and the new one an evolution, and they may be right there. Take hunters for example.... Buying arrows and using melee in close combat in Vanilla? Dont they have a right to claim that the new hunter is better? As i said, they can and i hope they will bring back the Vanilla world some day, quests, make the mobs and lvling challenging, increase xp per level to enjoy long till you hit 60.... But, as far as game mechanics are conserned, dont ask them to stop produsing VW Golf mk7 for the sake of making a couple of Mk2's, cause they will never ever do it.

Thank you. But i'm not here to argue for the sake of it, all I'm saying here have one thing in backbone as a major principle "WE MATTER". It sounds gimmicky but when I ask for code release or backup Nost reopen its for us players, so we have some place to stay and play but also so we approach blizzard plans (if they ever get to have any) from position of power aka "we got our cozy 15k pop Nost, it lags a bit sometimes, some things are buggy but we got it and its good, u got something better blizzy? ok let me check..."

I still check back here regularly. Played my first toon to lvl 60 on Nost since January this year, even though I was offered the option to play with a pre-Alpha version for cross-atlantic connection testing before 2004.

Now on Kronos, and the population of Nost that went there is slowly declining due to:
- Less marketing / streaming than on Nost;
- Legion and BlizzCon;
- Summer holiday is over.

But with 1400 and 2700 population on K1 and K2 it's far from dead.

With my guild we're having progression fun in BWL and AQ40 and will be doing Naxx later next year I think. If Nostalrius re-opens it'd be a hard choice, the stability on Nost was better but the scripting was often lacking. Sharpbeak was a dead parrot, new bags meant you had to relog, etc. etc. I'd try to get in touch with my old guild though.

If Blizzard would announce legacy servers it would be a no-brainer. Death sentence for the private server community except for those that can't afford it.

- scripting sucks
- chat is spammed with bg announcements
- heck, chat even filtered "nostalrius" back when it was still alive
- toxic community
- can buy characters
