EDIT: Due to a hard hitting attack, we decided to use this downtime to do our maintenance ahead of schedule. The realm will be offline for 2 hours.

Just for some clarity, is the server officially down right now? Does anyone who has been paying closer attention know what the downtime window is?

It's been down for about an hour, probably another hour of downtime I assume.

Hour 2 should be at 10:45 forum time. In reality these guys can take as long as they need. This server and service is awesome.

They do have DDoS protection; it's outlined in the FAQs.

How about DDOS attacks?
Nostalrius Begins has a DDOS mitigation security system delivered by our provider. We are constantly attacked by DDOS attack: none of them ever succeed.
