The people who are complaining are a small porttion of the community who gank lowbies all day in ashvale or lake shire hours on end,so just wait and see how many people log in on the 23.

I hope this new server gets enough people online to show Nostalrius Devs that it is wanted.

I started playing WoW in 2005 and I had the best kinds of experiences PvP or otherwise while on the PvE server Gilneas. I came to Nos because of its active community and server population and to hopefully recapture some of those good times from my early days in World of Warcraft.

Only thing that worries me is the 30 minute time frame for the server since it feels like a horribly short amount of time to gauge interest.

Anyways, even if the PvE server doesn't come to pass keep up the great work Nostlrius Devs.

I myself am one of those people who enjoy killing and camping lowbies all day everyday, in order to show them the path to level 60 isn't that easy that anyone can reach it in 2 weeks.

Now that my hobby will be taken away, I'll have to reroll on PvE server with a mage and sheep mobs to full health instead to add a "hardcore challenge" for some players.

Nope, he isn't kidding.

On a pve server people can be even bigger assholes because they will tag/poly your quest mobs and /spit /taunt /chicken you. Also, the 60 ganking will turn into a quest giver npc slaughterfest.

the PvE server would not only be about less ganking.
it would be a fresh start, the opportunity for (newer) players to be "on top"
it would also be a new race. race to 60, race to mc clear.
in addition, it will always have less bugs, exploits etc than the PvP server thus less to complain about, since most bugs will be erased after they were on the PvP server
due to PvE, ppl that prefer questing, farming, dungeons and raids over PvP could do so in peace. they would be free to choose when they want to pvp instead of being forced into it while they try to do what they actually like.
last but not least, im quite sure it would have a much better community. as you can even see on the forum, most doomsayer are total retards and will stay on pvp. even trolls like animegirl and matt will have to split or: stay on the pvp server. you're a lazy nublet not wanting to level again? you stay on the pvp server.

however, nobody forces you to play on pvp or pve only. everyone currently playing on the pvp can just make an alt on the pve one and then you can see what time will bring. if it actually is better or worse. and then you can still make your decision.

the only ppl who actually split the community are those that are super hostile towards players that think different/have different preferations than they do.

Due of different item patch, you would have to delete your cache folder every time you change server.

I don't think these things will happen on a grand scale on the PvE server, simply because it doesn't attract as many of those kinds of players. I'm sure most of it will take place when the server is new, and people get mad because someone tagged a mob that was right in front of them before their spell could reach the target.

That's not to say that PvE won't have cancerous players, of course it will, just far less.

Of course he is not being serious

I don't think those players are the majority of the players who will roll on the PvE one. Most probably just want a new start (or perhaps they are new to the server), or just enjoy the PvE aspect of the game more. Then again, I can't really blame people for being tired of getting ganked by level ??, it can get quite frustrating at times.
