We might be very small community out there but we would like to thank You for time and effort also for understanding of such "Legacy" existence - how it is important for some who admire creation of Blizzard - Vanilla World of Warcraft.

Let us please express our feelings about your most recent post that can be found HERE.

However, when looking back to what happened, we have the feeling that the main objective was missed.

Before heading any further it is at most import to understand WHY this "main objective was missed". Let's leave numbers and some words behind (that we think should never appear in your announcement) for a moment and let us think about it for a moment. Let me provide You some combat log here;

It was not Nostalrius objective that failed. Blizzard is not willing to cooperate. How many years are we all waiting already?

Legacy Community is not on Enrage phase yet.

We know that Nostalrius carries the hopes of the legacy community but moving from “fan server” to "pirate server" reputation makes it harder to convince that legacy fans have a place on the WoW community. Until this stigma is removed, it's unlikely any true progress towards official legacy content can be achieved.

This unfortunate sentence is truly a HURTFUL STRIKE in to everyone! Elysium, Yourselves, all of us!
We do believe that You - Nostalrius are the second highest threat within the range as you just set your position with this announcement of yours...

Thus, we are asking you a tremendous sacrifice.

We ask Elysium to join this effort for Legacy realms by stopping to use data that we provided.

Okay, so after reading all 29 pages of whining a-holes bashing Nostalrius, I decided to translate the original post for you to read: (*edit* 2 more pages full of d-heads)

This SUCKS balls. After waiting ages for an official response from Bli££ard Entertainment, We finally got one. But it was NOT the one we wanted, and we really can't say anything of it, nor can we let you know we actually have one. NOT because we wouldn't want to, but we'd be sued for telling. It may have some good news for the community, or some extremely bad news to the few of us that actually were at the Blizz meeting last year. Yes, there might be good news concerning possibility of Legacy retail, or it might be us facing 25 years in an american gayjail as public pump-up-dolls. Anyway, we have informed Elysium staff on the situation, and together we came up a plan to try to let you know / guess what's going on, and also save our asses. Removing the core + our scripts / disabling tokens were the things Blizz demanded us to do, and Nano quitting from Elysium officially (Not really, he's just hiding under Shenna's avatar atm) are just things that we needed to do to save ourself, these guys @ Blizz do shoot hard when they want to.

All we can say, is this way Blizz can't target Ely by telling "you do use Nost too", so u're next with old claims. Also don't worry about the core; our ppl re-wrote the Elysium core to look different, but have all our upgrades, so you should be fine.


P.S. Yes, we truly are sorry for how things turned out, but we really have no choice.
P.P.S We got the Blizz mail on 2nd day of transfers. 3rd day we allready made it buggy so it didn't work.
P.P.P.S We wrote the announcement to look like a noble post about the cause, so that Bli££ard wouldn't notice what's going on here. Sorry if it's too hard to read. That is intentional.

Fuck official Legacy servers. We have amazing Vanilla servers, decent TBC servers, and good Wrath servers which will continue to improve. Why would we stop playing them? For Blizzard's sake? They have ignored us for years, fuck em.

So where do you want us to play? You are obviously hiding something with how shady and secretive you're acting. We won't believe the reason you don't want Elysium to use your core is because you are being labelled as pirate server, you've always been labelled that even though you are non profit.

Please stop this bullshit, if you want to recreate vanilla wow give us a stable server to play on. I don't recall switching server 3 times during retail.
