This is my first post in Nostalrius forums.

I just want to thank Nostalrius Team for this great job. You guys are like heroes that ressurrected the feeling of Vanilla WoW as close as possible. I also want to thanks the great community that has been created and say that we have great times here.

This will make any non profit private server be legal as long as it uses older blizzard code and server emulation. Spread the word. Please staff add this to get it signs for the DMCA fair use add your mission to the law.

You as a team brought a community something it needed, something it could thrive upon and rediscover itself through. You became a part and cared for this community more than anyone else could. This is a sad day - Blizzard didn't just shut down a server, but an entire livelihood.

I have played here for a year. One charactor named Cristin has reached lvl60, but it was hacked and banned. Later I create another charactor named Katherleen. She is a druid, I loved her and I promised I will play with her for a long time.

Hi. I wrote this little letter straight to Blizzard, and from the bottom of my heart I will hope it will help. These few weeks have been the best weeks in years. Yes, I was informed about the server a little too late.

Good old, golden times


Hello. I heard yesterday that you are forcing Nostalrius private server to shut down.
Why are you doing this? Yes, you have perfectly valid reason to do this, but think about this. People miss the old good days. The vanilla. I must admit, yes, I also played on that server. So did 800'000 others, and 150'000 active players, which were mostly semi-active retail World of Warcraft players. Cannot you see the chance that you are throwing away? If you would just this time co-operate with the makers of Nostalrius, bring back the good old times. They have done absolutely fantastic work, to get vanilla WoW to work almost perfectly. You could easily attach it with Battle.Net system. I bet that at least 80% of Nostalrius players would gladly pay to play again the original World of Warcraft. 150'000 players can't be wrong about this. Think about this, as an opportunity to regain your lost customers. People who used to pay 12,99€ per month.

All I am trying to say, do not throw away a good chance to re-create something, that will bring people (customers) to you. Lots of players have stopped playing WoW because of new expansions. Even I must admit, that after Mist of Pandaria expansion, I lost all interest on World of Warcraft. It doesn't feel like World of Warcraft anymore. Not at all. Seriously. Think about the chance. Do not close their servers. Bring the vanilla back alive again! I am sure that the makers of Nostalrius would gladly co-operate with you, just to keep the servers up. For old times' sake, save the old good times. Not only in memories, when you actually have all the tools in your hands in order to bring them back to life.

I just want you guys to know that I really appreciate your work and dedication towards the server, even though I have been here for roughly a week, I enjoyed the recreation of vanilla wow to the fullest and it makes me sad to see you guys go, but that's life, I guess, you gotta move on. Again, thank you for the good times, it must've been a hell of a ride!
