Three points have been added to the F.A.Q. in order to clarify some questions.

What exactly will the staff do if more than 2.5k players plan to play on Nostalrius PVE? I'm estimating about 6k if not more on release. As i'm sure a lot of other community members are. (Most PVP players will at least roll an alt)

I do not understand why there is 41 pages of arguing. People who prefer PvP will stay on PvP server. People who love PvE will stay on PvE server. It's as simple as that.

I believe they are talking about the definitive realm not the testing session of it.

hey syrah, what does this exactly mean?
is this for the testing event only? or will the real pve server not hold more than 2,5k? and if for the final realm, why?

I am really hoping that he is talking about when the realm opens on Sunday for 30 minutes, though it does sound like he is talking about the final product. I simply cannot wrap my mind around why this would be the case when the server can support 5k players with no lag, it makes very little sense. This edit to the post made everything even more unclear outside of the character wipe "issue".

I am by no means saying that 5k players will be playing on the server, but setting a 2.5k cap sounds a bit odd.

It's possible they realised their mistake with the PvP realm in allowing so many to play simultaneously and will be limiting the PvE realm to a 2.5k cap to maintain performance (and stop people qqing). At least, that's how I read it ^^

A 3k or 4k cap would make more sense, but sure... I guess...

It might turn away even more players (if the server happens to have a lot of hype) if they have to stay in hour long queues, and as a result leaves the server almost completely empty after the two first weeks.

dont limit to 2500 please! people are crying on pvp cause so many ppl ganking. pve realms dont have that problem. 4k is ok but 2500 will end in ultra long queues. im pretty sure ALOT people wanna start on pve maybe more than on pvp who knows

The 2.5k cap will be on the test this sunday only, once they have the server ready with a better setup, there won't be any cap. theres no reason to worry about that, having 2 servers will balance the players resulting in no lag.
