Throwing insults at the elysium devs has got to be the most retarded thing you could possibly do, considering the fact that many people who worked on nost has began working with elysium.

I don't believe the hatred towards the devs is deserved, or for that matter necessary. It's interesting to me how people were so strongly attached to this server, devoted as well as utterly in love, and one disappointment comes along (which is hardly a disappointment, there's not much that could be done) and the entire community goes into chaos.

Maybe people should think, nothing has happened yet we have a post and that's it, nothing is definite meaning we don't know what will happen with Elysium, and with most of anything. I'm sure Nost will not open up in Russia even with the ability to do so simply because they were already with Blizzard. There's a lot of things taken out of perspective (even this post) so why the negativity? I can understand the database being public is a security issue and people don't want to worry about that. Yes this is indeed a good point and I don't know if the Nostalrius team has thought about it but I'm sure they understand the measures they take, if they don't I am surprised they got this far. Have you people forgotten how far Nost went for you? They enjoy Vanilla just as much as you do, and wish to experience it as much as you do, so why the doubt? Has the past experiences with Nostalrius not proven their worth to you, or abilities? There is also a huge chance we don't fully understand what is going on because of our ignorance, it's been said wait for the announcement later on. This is clear proof we are ignorant and can't understand fully, so why the pessimism and negativity? Why simply because you don't know? It's utterly foolish to have that negativity (unless towards the DB, which is a different story, even though we may not fully understand the DB situation either).

Maybe we should remind ourselves not everything goes the way we want it to, or hope for it to go. Maybe we should remind ourselves that this disappointment we are feeling is completely unnecessary and utterly stupid. Maybe we should remind ourselves that ultimately, shit happens.

Someone on Crestfall forums said nostalrius couldn't re open because blizzard knows their personal info.

???? Wut m8, isn't it the same thing if you ASSIST people to give them code/DB to help develop the server? Basically conspiracy or seen as an accomplice in breaking Blizzard copyright of making a private server. Giving another team code is the exact same thing as them doing it themselves. LUL

At first i was dispapointed that nost was not going to be revived, but now after a few hours have past.
I,m starting to enjoy the thought of how this is going to f blizzards plans.
For future legacy servers, and controling the private servers.
One thing is for sure, they will look like idioots, when masses will be able to create near to perfect vanilla servers.
While they claim not to have the tech to do so them selfs.

A: Unfortunately there are restrictions outside our control that apply to contests of this kind, and we as well as our sponsors have to abide by the laws and regulations of the different countries in Europe.
