We'll hear something this week and I think it will suffice. The other contending pve server will probably be bad compared to Nost since they're rushing their release.

Who said anything about rushing a release?

With the BWL release every team is pretty busy but *something* is coming this week regarding the PvE Server.

Best regards,
Syrah.

So it is yet another announcement of an announcement of an announcement. Are we 3 or 4 deep now?

They have said it themselves, the testing on raids won't be as extensive as they initially planned. It is obvious why the sudden rush. Go read it on their page, it's up there for anyone to read. Nostalrius on the otherhand isn't rushing their release, I think.

Hopefully we get something concrete this time. Like an exact release date.

Yeah I'm starting to feel a bit strung along at this point :( I know they like to build hype, but the server doesn't need it - at this point too much interest is going to be detrimental given the queue cap. I will be disappointed if we don't get a launch date this week.

Definitely keeping my eye on that other pve server project as well.

I wonder what would happen actually, if both released their PvE server on the exact same date; How many would prefer one instead of the other :) Ive been "out" of the private Vanilla Server world for a few years; Really, Kronos 'lost' just because they released their server later (how much later?) than Nostalrius? Ouch, the timing.

I think they released their server after a month (Maybe 3 weeks?) and the population was like 9k to 900. It also doesn't help kronos banned an entire guild scaring the playerbase away

I've played on a lot of private game servers. Both WoW and other MMORPGs. On those servers I've seen such horrible fails in software development, administration or communication. Believe me - the devs on Nostalrius are doing an awesome job! Yes, there's a lack of communication at times, but altogether we can be VERY happy here.

That's why I'll try the Nostalrius PvE server first and that is for sure.

It to be honest surprises me that game developers are needed at all. This might sound a bit ignorant, but I always thought all they needed to do was take the game data and run a server.

The server isn't scripted properly when just downloaded and needs to be programmed bit by bit, so the devs are always workin on it to make sure its in top shape, now the GMs on the other hand dont really do shit so they could throw us a bone more often than they do now, but hey, atleast we got something
