I find it horrible, childish and extremly embarrassing to read through all those pages in this topic. I had to stop after the 20th complaint and blaming the Nostalrius Team for doing the wrong thing.

People have you all forgotten that this was a volunteer project?! None of the Nostalrius Team members had to spend all those hours, working on that project. None of them had to fly to Blizzard to argue for the community, to argue for US!
They created something truly amazing and the best Classic WoW experience there was (so far) and they made it possible for all of us to enjoy that experience once more. I know it sucks that the server doesn't exist anymore. I spent a lot of time playing on this server myself and I was really disappointed to read that it would shut down. But nethertheless we should not forget that it was not the Nostalrius Team's fault that the shutdown had happened! I'm sure they would of been more than happy to keep that server running and making the community happy!

So please try to keep in the back of your mind that Nostlarius had always been a volunteer project and that it's amazing what they reached and did for this large community by that!

I for myself just wanted to thank you guys for that amazing time I had playing on your server and I haven't given up hope yet that there will be a similar project anytime soon!

All the best, Bartholomäus

I started it on the 4th and played it for 2 nights. Got it just out of Westfall and got the herb/alch up to 135.

So I can avoid the crowded newbie zones and don't have to fight for peaceblooms for 10 hours. Want to get it to level 35 to have an extra transmute.

Sitting on it now since characters are frozen now.

I am stalking Nost forums for months already and now I felt compelled to make an account to enlarge the ranks of those who chide the posters in the first the 30+ pages of this thread, posters whining about the brilliant move that Nost team has done in order to ensure we the fans (to whom NOST TEAM OWES NOTHING) continue to have quality Vanilla WOW.
I applaud Nost team and the Elysium team for their collaboration which I hope will break every private scene record out there. Here's to hoping Blizz will chew their nails (fingers and toes) when they will realize the mistake they made in not providing us with a place to relieve history whenever we wish (profit for their pockets would have surely followed had they done that).

See you on Nossium or Elyrius or whatever, but in truth simply Nost 2.0 :)))

At the time of those comments Elysium announcement wasn't out yet so nobody knew what would happen if they end up with the code. There is a huge difference between basicly a nostalrius rehost under elysium and just taking the core and applying it to elysium.
