Daemon can't you guys change host and make new realm hosted in eg Russia? That was your bad that you took a host provider in France so EU. Atlantiss had the same situation, Blizz wanted to close it but they just laughed to their faces and are still alive. I feel like you (Nost devs) know that there is a way but you just don't want to do anything.

I feel you, man. Atlantiss were and still are less known though and the thought of getting caught up in a massive court case with Blizz-Activision is pretty scary. Still, I'd love it if Nost could relocate to a place with more lax intellectual property laws somewhat outside of US jurisdiction (while still maintaining a high ping of course). This is just wishful thinking though.

Hey there, I'm having trouble finding the legal documentation filed against Nostalrius. Can anyone point me to where it might be? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I'm a small claims lawyer in the US and as such I'm interested in first judging the authenticity (which I have no question of at this point) and then of course reading the formal charges.

In the reddit AMA, Nano said that it was:

- A letter written in both French and English.
- Said letter made no reference to the DMCA, but rather to French laws.
- They will not publish it since some bits of it include information about the Nost devs.

man, im so sad about whats happening.

i think nost has done exceptional good work for all vanilla wow fans.
you truely relived the good old times. it wasnt perfect, but it was better than everyone else and better than anyone expected you to do!

i bow before the entire nostalrius staff and i want to thank you for all the fun i had on your servers.

i also feel really sorry for you. you invested a lot of time and probably even money for everyones pleasure. its a shame blizzard has no other answer for their old costumers and fans than sending lawyers at us.

i wish you all the best and hope from the deepest of my heart, for everyone that loves vanilla wow, that someday there will be another vanilla server remotely as good as nostalrius was.
