I'm really saddened by the sheer stupidity of some of these reaction. Did you really think Nost can just come out and say "fuck the law, we're opening a server in our own name?". It's easy to say they should when it's not you who's in danger of being brought to court.

They did a ton of work for you for nothing and temper tantrums is what they get? God, I would almost vote against legacy servers now because you don't deserve shit sitting there on your ass doing absolutely nothing but yelling at the people who hand you stuff for free.

If you are dissappointed you only have yourself to blame: anyone with a brain can understand they could never just launch a nost server openly after having gone to blizzard. Names, adresses, everything is known, so they had to go another route. If you cannot read between the lines then that's your problem.

So Nost staff, thanks for the news! The only thing I can hope for now is that you'll make a 'new' server under Elysium's name because they do have a gearing inconsistency on their own server (to put it mildly). If it's going to be nost 2.0 without you being able to say as much then you have all of my support, and I'll see you there!

I must say I trust the Nostalrius team and if they say Elysium will be the next big thing then Elysium it is.
I hope they can handle the amount of people that will come in so that we can have a stable server.

At the time of those comments Elysium announcement wasn't out yet so nobody knew what would happen if they end up with the code. There is a huge difference between basicly a nostalrius rehost under elysium and just taking the core and applying it to elysium.

The source code will be first given to an existing Legacy project which we believe to be the most in line with our core values, named Elysium. This server shares the volunteer spirit and passion for the game we had. Furthermore, an important part of Nostalrius volunteers are already working there, some under different names. We wish them all the best, and hope that they will become a new home for the reunited Vanilla community. We will continue collaborating closely with them. This collaboration could include additional "things" to share with them if necessary to achieve this goal. In exchange, this server promised to not receive any profit from this activity. They will also have to create the documentation required to install, understand and use the work we did.
