Also, it seems like there's some really strong support for not having to deal with 14 year olds camp-ganking for 5 hours.

Yea, 1710-1720, also had quite a few PvP'ers in there insulting people but, they just got added to the count... lol

Good point and I wondered how many "hard core" pvp'ers would come to the pve test (ironically supporting the count of players while bashing us as carebears)....

So once we hit 1,730 players I logged - and went to the pvp server to see we had 7,100 and a few players on. So I have this hopeful theory that this test was actually TWO-FOLD:

1. Test numbers to predict pve server interest
2. Test numbers on the pvp server during the pve test.

Naturally, people might have had two accounts running - totally possible.

Anyway..glad to see /who resulted in 1,700+ on pve. I have high hopes as a grown up with a life that I can enjoy my WoW memories without the ass-hattery that comes with an uncaring pvp community.

Let's hope they open up the PVE server soon. The gankers are ANGRY about the trial and killing more than usual. I never seen this many kids throwing tantrums at the same time in my life. It's kinda funny .. but I would like to hang out with somewhere where other people can't take their anger out on others just for the purpose of destroying their fun. I know there will always be the social rejects on any server, but at least on a PVE server they can't take out their frustrations on the poor lowbies. Those little guys are getting hammered!

I think it said next week. Tomorrow is the start of the new week.

Their first message said next week.

There was another message just before the shutdown however and it said "next weekend".

So I guess we'll see which it is. Hopefully, if the announcement is next weekend, it'll be announcement + opening.

server is up again, they made a public annoucement on the server that the server will be up for a day to get a better ideaof what the population will be, so everyone join.

The server appears to be up, but I can't connect to it. It says there's a medium population, but I'm thinking, "no".

That's probably just their configuration of the login services, but the actual PVE server is turned off.

I hope that server is going up. I hate those gankers aswell. Let the economy finally bloom!
