Patch 1.4 changed a lot of itemazation and buffed a lot of previous dungeon drops to rare quality and added new and improved items to dungeons, raids and world bosses as well.
One of those changes was moving the Tier 2 drops out of MC loot tables, and to re-introduce Tier 2 in the next upcoming raid back then (BWL): http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_1.4.0

Shadow weaving was a higher priority debuff, so it didn't get knocked off as easily, but Pain wasn't, and would get knocked off by shit like rend, so SP dmg is limited basically to mind flay with the occasional mind blast, basically cutting out pain completely, and cutting your DPS by 1/4, give or take.

One question is still unanswered :D Do we get the pre 1.4 mounts at server launch? That would be just the cherry on top!

8 debuff limit is going to make a much bigger difference than any of the gear changes imo. Think of how much less dps that is on the boss, 4-5 corruptions, a sw:p and a couple other utility buffs. (eg. Imp shadow bolt & hunter's mark)

I still think the content will be cleared quickly by the top guilds, cause everyone knows the raids inside out, their class and will fully flask up. However it may prevent some of the lower guilds from clearing the raid in 1 night and especially those who cannot assemble close to a full raid.

Personally I would buff the bosses a little bit too, to account for having 1.12 talent tree, some spells buffed, 10x more game knowledge and no lag.

Guilds will prioritize important buffs like those 3, it's the DoT's and debuffs which only effect 1 class that are going to suffer the most.

I don't remember exactly, but didn't you need Hyrdaxian reputation to be able to kill Ragnaros? That will prevent guilds from fully clearing MC for a while.

Yea you do, even to kill Domo don't you have to put out the fires to be able to summon him?
