I don't think anything about the message it sent, I was thinking about it from the Gms point of view. It most likely had a negative PR effect on nostalrius.

Just by looking at the fact that there is NO BUTTON in the interface to join av as a grp. Thus safely assuming that it was not intended to be used at the time av was released.
Just because there is a script u can use doesnt mean u should. The ban hammer (or at least a hotfix) would of probs struck in retail if the grp que fuction was as ridiculous as it was here. Winning an av game in 5 mins was definitely not intended by blizzard.

Basically they took a risk, it didnt pay off and now they are butthurt about it.

imo this will improve the overall quality of the server. Now u know to ask before using a questionable what evers.

I dout any guild want to do ptr for nostalrius with this. Getting all shit in a big flame post from admins side when we wasen´t able to test this subject when it´s limited players on ptr and we are going after "retail vanilla" when we tests stuff. This is just saying that we fuckt up and don´t wanna take any responsebility of it.

That's pretty much what I was trying to hint at. If the admins expect the testers to make the patch flawless for them they are in for a bad time, no matter the amount of PTR testers there will always be stuff that gets overlooked, it happens on retail all the time.

I say they should open up PTR to everyone that signs up for it, expecting the few chosen guilds to spend an enormous amount of time testing is not feasible as we've just seen.

And unless the Admins have solid proof of the banned players withholding exploits for personal gains I would be careful about throwing around accusations, because it will deter people from testing the PTR in the future.

I can't believe I read so much of this on this forum. "Stop premading". In a MMORPG, you want people to stop playing together in order to achieve a certain goal. This is ridiculous

If you want to play solo, there are tons of other games (like retail WoW for instance), but most of us came here to play with other people, make friends and have fun this way.

You guys should try it I swear, try to socialize, try to talk to people and play with them, it's a really fun and enjoyable experience. And then maybe you'll be able to make a decent premade group too, and have actual games in PvP. That's the goal of a MMORPG to be fair, I hope you can understand that.


On topic, even tho I didnt participate in those AV premade, I think the ban was ridiculous and showed once more how some nostalrius GM have absolutely no idea of what they are doing (or maybe they do which is even worse). If you don't want people to do this, just make a broadcast to ask them to stop it and the problem is solved. Noone is banned unless they continue. But make your position clear before taking actions, because up to now, using macro or script was not agaisnt ToS.
