It wouldn't be. I believe the plans are to release a TBC server well after the vanilla content is cleared to provide players with new content / new expansion to experience and to fulfill the concept of content progression that the Nost team are currently doing with the patches.

As a side note they have also said that it is very unlikely that there will be a WOTLK server. I really like this as it keeps the private server within the golden period of WoW which is why we are all here in the first place.

While I joined this community because I wanted to experience Vanilla again in its purest form and try and find my appreciation for the game again I'm very Happy to hear this, TBC was my favorite expansion by far and my most successful as a raider I was lucky enough to be part of a guild that attained the server first kill on every boss bar M'uru and Kil'Jaeden. Also will be good to see Beast Mastery Hunters topping meters again.

and don't think Nostalrius will make everyone start at level 58 with custom made quests.
