I actually can't wait to see the wPvP'ers / graygankers START whineing after the PvE server starts.

Okay, so it's allways Paragon vs Method vs some-unknown-guild on every tier.
Why not make things a bit more interesting, and make them ALL raid Vanilla instead?

Do we agree that the PvE portion of the vanilla WoW player base is a minority? What made Nostalrius Begins server so hugely popular? Being PvP or PvE? Finally getting rid of the PvE portion from the main server will improve your gaming experience in several ways, not undermine it. It's hard to believe that someone can even consider that Nos Devs would start anything that could possibly jeopardize/destroy their server, teh most popular WoW vanilla server in the world..
Actually, it is our, the PvE server population concern to not dwindle too much in time and end up 'R.I.P" prematurely.
Don't worry, you wil be just fine. :D

You know I agree.. I am "that one" pve guy ang I see it this way. YOu will get rid of us pve whineys, and have more free spots for leveling and stuff.. gankers will get mostly out of bussines and will have to actualy earn PVP status fighting own levels and we can start enjoy this game by not have to camp damn single mob to finish some stupid quest after 1 hour...Leveling with other few hundred on same map is just horrible, and only thing I will do by the time PVE realm starts is testing different classes...And that is it...

Also, I was looking at first for populated server, but this was like asking for cup of water and getting whole bucket on your head lol..way to much. I actualy am looking forward to more..I will say it! ... Casual... realm. :D

To wrap up...I doubt that pvp will die.. there are just too many of you PVP lovers here.
Anyway..see you all

Gankers will have plenty of players to gank even when the PvE server becomes a reality. There will still be a lot of players (both new and old) leveling up new characters on the PvP server. The gankers will still be able to feast off of lower level characters :)

Yes they will. But in these 60++ pages, the loudest ones are whineing, because now they have 100 lowbies to gank on a small area, in future they have nowhere near so much; they have to settle for just those 99 lowbies.

God, that's a discrace, only 99!!! omgftw Nost is dying R.I.P Nost. (*ragequits*)

As a new player I'm just excited about a new server. Don't care if it is PvP or PvE. I want to play BG's without twinks and quest without 60's killing me. If someone my level jumps me and wins while we both quest so be it. Not going to cry about that. Played both server types in retail and find both experiences enjoyable.

I honestly think the 39 twinks with crusader will be more upset than world pvp'ers because there will be significantly less people for them 2 shot in bg's with new players choosing to level on new server.

1700 people showing up for showing interest in a new server is not enough in my opinion.
While the developers were setting up the pve realm, the lag and crashes was at its highest i ever tried.
I would love to see some statistics for the server resources, on the new hardware, when they ran the 2 servers at once. CPU + memory usage etc.

A new startup company, wouldn't put everything on high risk (to loose everything) after 6 months of business, even tho they have been successful. Or at least they would consider it and make deeper research to see if it was possible to keep stabile. I sense many pro and many against a new server.
Around 500 left the PvP realm, to participate in the support.

I don't know if its a good idea or bad (can't make up my mind completely), to establish another realm, i feel sad about loose some players for another realm - I've experience from other private servers, where people come and go, you get new friends, and loose some without a word... I think one of the strong points of why and how Nostalrius is successful, is the traffic and heavy population. (ofcourse some people will come and go) But on private servers population is a really strong asset, which not should be taken lightly.

I could understand if the new hardware could easily handle 10.000 players, and with 3 months of increasingly player rate (with different IP addresses). Also if the PvE progress was further on the PvP server, like after the War Effort (AQ opening) - then I could understand if the staff and developers, wanted to see if there was potential for a new server restart. (Who dosen't like to participate in new lvl 1-60 race).

New beginnings is always welcome to, so many of us, true and old gamers.
But that shouldnt just happen becourse of whine over ganks, (hard time leveling) or just becourse the money is there... its should be timed and planned, ... and promoted differently, so we don't ruin the now a bit huge private server community that we all see (and like).. what steps should there be, to get retailers into the private server community, without too much 'noise' so we don't risk a lawsuit or other ways shutdown of the server..

I'm thinking, more.. live streamers, youtubers (pewdiepie lol), forum posts, reddit posts, twitter posts, developer interviews.. brand it.. (little different and by other ways than normal companies maybe) - facebook ads (lol, jk) but i hope you catch my drift...

Sit down, make strategy plans.. and well formed researches.. before you risk everything.. on splitting your current successful server..

(Why would the server fail? if it stayed on this path?, without a twin server - now people can level, and join molten core raiding, and soon to be blackwing lair.. and so forth..)

Good work Nost, we all support your initiatives, but remain wise.. don't try to fix something there aint broken :)

There seems to be plenty of demand and that number isn't taking into account the people who couldn't make it, don't know of the PvE server yet, who are on the fence, etc. If anything I think over a long, long period of time the PvE server will hurt the PvP population because the flow of low level players will be lowered, meaning those who do gank will go after a small amount of prey more often, meaning those players will say "Fuck this" and go to the PvE server. But that's a choice they should have, no matter what anyone thinks. More options are better, especially when they don't take away from the options of others.

Also I think putting more people on one server would lead to more problems, even if they "doubled" the hardware. Going to be economy difficulties related to demand and gathering and give griefers more power over more players, which will lead to burnout.
