Doubt it because there is no incentive to do so. Someone on the Valkyrie server suggested giving new levelers on the old character server 1.5x or 2x leveling rates for a short time and I don't think it's the WORST idea, but I believe some sort of incentive could be made.

Its not a bad thing to have 2 pvp server...nost had so much population the server could barely handle it so it will just help alot. I dont even expect to be able to play the first few days due to the publicity nostalrius got from all this drama the past 7 month which is a good thing in itself, more player equals more fun =D

P.S increased experience rate is for kronos, keep that there plz.

No but because lvl 60 content wasn't challening up to AQ and logging for raids which you rush through is not what I like

lvl 60 pve content is underwhelming in terms of difficulty but that's not what it is for but being elitist about vanilla wow is a joke

Yea it's exciting. And I wouldn't pay much attention to that poll and people saying they are starting on the fresh server. Most of those people didn't play on Nost. The ones who did never made any significant progress with their main or played previously and continuously on other private servers as well. Leveling another 60 for the umpteenth time just to redo all the content again and again and NEVER see AQ...no one wants this that played on Nost that was progressing. They want to farm the war effort and get into AQ and pick the epic journey back up where they left off. Also there will be new people who roll on the OG Nost server because they'll want to play with heroes like ourselves and some of these people can level and progress gear wise quickly with their free time and MMO savvy.

So please, everyone that wants to go to the fresh server go there. Stop complaining and go there. Start ALL OVER again with a new community. It's on you guys to make it what it will become. The rest of us will be picking up our story where we left off on the best private server to ever exist...see you in AQ.

Big ups to Nost for actually being the first server (if I'm not mistaken) to honor the GPL license under which the emulation software is published and contribute to the repo they forked from.
Up to now it's mostly been a shitshow of incompetence, where servers fumble with the emulator, profiteer from it (*cough* kronos *cough crestfall) and selfishly contribute nothing back upstream.
This is a welcome change of pace and hopefully a paradigm shift for future development.

GPL license is a tool for good but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It feels good to contribute back to the community, but if it causes a fork in the software (dividing developer man-hours) or causes a divided userbase then it might have been better to keep things under one roof.
