Sadly, we never received any answers to these proposals either.
So they never replied. Well, well, well. There is in all things that which people say, and that which they do. That which people say means nothing. Absolutely nothing - it is as the wind in the air. It is only by what people *do* that you know them.
It would be one thing to say no, it is another to reply and say "we don't know yet", but NOT to reply is something else entirely. This can only be seen in terms of delaying tactics, and by doing that now, seems in turn to make it rather likely the original invitation was actually to defuse the torrent of bad publicity from the Nost shutdown.
The real downside of such conduct is that it makes it impossible to communicate. When the actions of another are deliberately deceitful, it is no longer possible to communicate with them. Bliz have lost the capability to communicate with the Vanilla community, and by that, have lost the chance to profit financially from Vanilla. I for one even if Bliz brought out Vanilla tomorrow would now no longer return to them. I will only play on private servers. How could I go to Bliz, pay them money, and feel good about the game, knowing they had deliberately deceived Nost?
So, it's time for us to release our source code and additional tools to the community in the hope that it will maintain the Legacy community as much as possible until Blizzard announces an official Legacy plan - should they decide to do that.
Any news on the database of characters? I would love to pick up where I left off.
The source code will be first given to an existing Legacy project which we believe to be the most in line with our core values, named Elysium.
Where Nost goes, I go.
