i hope we can start soon. My opinion best in pve is alliance, because we have paladin and he/her's buffs and auras

Yeah paladins are by far better than shamans in vanilla:

Paladins can bless the entire raid with 3-4 of them using each blessing, whilst shamans can only buff the group they are in with their totems.

Paladins can give 30% threat reduction to their entire raid (threat is a big deal in vanilla), whilst shamans only have 20% to their group. Shamans also have to choose if they want to give Windfury totem OR 20% threat reduction, so there is no good way to go about it. Less threat pretty much equals more dps in vanilla. Using Windfury totem too early or after threat reset can easily wipe the entire raid.

BoK is the best tank buff in the game. Horde have Taurens, but I'll take BoK any day.

Paladins also have some really good seals that the entire raid can take advantage of, especially once the debuff limit increases.

Paladin heals are also way less situational than shaman's Healing Weave, although I must admit that Healing Wave is simply genius for certain boss fights.

I might have forgotten some things, but this is all I can think of considering paladin vs shaman.

When you didn't think it could get any worse: Alliance has the dwarf race which as a priest has fear ward, big deal for certain fights.

Alliance in the form of humans also have sword and mace specialization which is quite a big deal once you start getting BiS weapons as melee dps. Glancing blows is quite a dps loss and weapon skill helps a lot to mitigate it, even make it have 0 effect. Hordes have orcs, but later in the game swords and maces just take a dump on most axes out there.

Vanilla WoW isnt that hard outside of Naxx, so it shouldn't be that huge of an issue.

Fear Ward is cute, but not as good as Tremor Totem. Sadly, that's about all Horde has over Alliance when it comes to raiding. Pallys can bug out phase 1 of Razorgore in BWL, making that instant farm content and letting guilds basically skip straight to Vael.

I too think that the PvE census was a full success. Considering the details and hurdles it is amazing that there were still 1700+ people online. I am pretty sure that a population on a PvE server will reach at least 3k during prime.

It would be great if there was an option to transfer characters from the current PvP realm to the new PvE realm for those who (in the lack of an alternative) already spent some significant time leveling on the PvP server but just don't want to continue there.

I dont think allowing transfers would be a good idea, if they were going to allow transfers they would just make a second PvP server to reduce the strain on the server.

I would like to think that fear ward beats a pulsating totem. Tremor doesn't instantly remove fear, it can easily take a few seconds before it happens, and it ONLY applies to your group and targets within a certain range. Fear ward is much better as you can choose which targets will need it the most (if you try to do the same as a shaman other teammates will lose out on totems), and they won't even be feared in the first place. Much much better.

And you sort of ignored everything I said about paladins vs shamans which gives alliance an advantage over horde.

that waiting is just pain.. :D i have toon to level up and when they said *transfer is not possible* im like ffs.. i already have some good stuff to my alt, hes not even 30 yet.. now i need to wait that server to get opened so i can start finally leveling that, right now.. im not interesting level up my toon in pvp server.
they should allow ppl to transfer them toons there. Its everyone own option to make, nobody forces it, its for your own sake and also less crowded leveling ares.

like somekind requirements, have already level 60 character in pvp realm, have 6months lock for next transfer, gold limit, items allowed thats released in 1.4 and not after 1.5

I don't mind if we're unable to transfer any characters as I don't have a level 60 on the PvP server at the moment. I guess it would be a nice option if those players with a max level character would be able to move over to the PvE server sometime in the future. Maybe a system could be put in place where players could move over once the PvE server has been open for a set amount of time. This way, any new characters created on the server would have a bit of extra time to level up and make some progress?
