i hope we can start soon. My opinion best in pve is alliance, because we have paladin and he/her's buffs and auras
Yeah paladins are by far better than shamans in vanilla:
Paladins can bless the entire raid with 3-4 of them using each blessing, whilst shamans can only buff the group they are in with their totems.
Paladins can give 30% threat reduction to their entire raid (threat is a big deal in vanilla), whilst shamans only have 20% to their group. Shamans also have to choose if they want to give Windfury totem OR 20% threat reduction, so there is no good way to go about it. Less threat pretty much equals more dps in vanilla. Using Windfury totem too early or after threat reset can easily wipe the entire raid.
BoK is the best tank buff in the game. Horde have Taurens, but I'll take BoK any day.
Paladins also have some really good seals that the entire raid can take advantage of, especially once the debuff limit increases.
Paladin heals are also way less situational than shaman's Healing Weave, although I must admit that Healing Wave is simply genius for certain boss fights.
I might have forgotten some things, but this is all I can think of considering paladin vs shaman.
When you didn't think it could get any worse: Alliance has the dwarf race which as a priest has fear ward, big deal for certain fights.
Alliance in the form of humans also have sword and mace specialization which is quite a big deal once you start getting BiS weapons as melee dps. Glancing blows is quite a dps loss and weapon skill helps a lot to mitigate it, even make it have 0 effect. Hordes have orcs, but later in the game swords and maces just take a dump on most axes out there.
Vanilla WoW isnt that hard outside of Naxx, so it shouldn't be that huge of an issue.
