Your logic is twice as flawed. In an MMORPG, diversity is provided. Do you know what that implies? You choose which path you want to take; whether you want to group up or play solo. It's all in the hands of the player. This is why MMORPGs are so great (that's why they used to be so great, in the state of vanilla wow to be precise), because you can decide what you want to do. So don't give me that bullshit speech about what is right and wrong.

They were supposed to TEST the ptr before it hit and give all information to the GMs that wasnt right and shouldnt be in the game due to balancing etc etc..

There is TONS of buggs in todays AV, these buggs were supposed to be reported and taken care of before the patch hit, did the PTR Testers thier job? Nope!


They abused thier power of knowing the upcomming patch and didnt share thier bugg finds correctly, so obviously some actions have to be taken against this, it wasnt 1 guy knowing this, it wasnt 5 guys it was entire "guilds" knowing this.

If you can't follow the rules correctly don't cry about it, just because there is ingame mechanics to be used, doesn't mean they should be used, remember WF LK kill by Ensidia? Athene WR 80 or a tons of others smart use of game mechanics? at the end of the day nostalrius staff can do whatever they feel like. And by not reporting obvious buggs is clearly hiding important information to the staff.

Where did I say that grouping up or doing stuff you like is not allowed?
I'm not trying to stop players from doing what they want as long as it doesn't harm others;

If you wanna premade, go ahead
Just do it in a way it doesn't massively ruin other player's experience

I'm actually a fan of doing ~3-5 man premades with people you know, it apparently is more fun.


There's only a thin line between exploits and clever use of game mechanics, especially when you are not sure whether it is intended or not. Finding them and using them to your advantage without asking for permittance is risky.

Nostalrius is trying to replicate the vanilla experience, no one got sanctioned or banned for using this back then.

The API function for sure was not left in place on purpose if they are now banning for it, making it an oversight.
From the staff's PoV the game mechanics were abused to gain an unfair advantage because they didn't intend it to work this way.

Are bans for abusing it justified? Questionable, they never specifically pointed out that it is only allowed to soloqueue AV.
I don't know what happened on the PTR or in what way the queue system has been tested. The only way bans are fully justified is if the testing players queued as group, using that API function (used by the lazypig addon) with the intent of finding a way to queue as group, then intentionally hiding this information from the developers to be able to abuse it on the live servers.

Regarding the "everyone can premade" argument: Yes, everyone can premade, however most premades are dodging premade vs. premade fights because they are not efficient in terms of honor farming. Also gl finding players willing to actually fight, especially if you are not rank 9+ already.

Also that's the nature of an exploit: everyone could do it, it simply requires the knowledge about it and a malicious intent

If you don't know how to disable the group queue in the battleground handler, feel free to PM me on the forum, because banning players for your mistake seems pretty absurd considering this is a 1 line fix and you've still not been able to figure it out. Free cookies.
