I say it gonna last longer than 4 weeks. So 4 weeks is a good minimum. I bet it gonna last 3 month or more. Elysium gonna try to migrate their Database to the "new" Nost Core. They need to downgrade the items of their palyers. That's a bunch of work. And trust me, there gonna be a huge load of bugs after migrating the database to the nost core. People who ever tried to migrate a database of one core to another core know, that this is hard work and provide a endless line of bugs. So yes have fun dreaming of less than 4 weeks.
And that's the reason why the new Elysium server gonna be shity. Cause the Nost DB Chars gonna be mixed with buged Elysium DB Chars. Best choice would have been to strictly seperate the servers. No mixture of Elysium and Nostalrius DB = no bug party.
So, better play on the fresh server to avoid playing the bug party <3
The PvP & PvE Server will not be the original Nost servers! Stop dreaming of that! You gonna have Elysium chracters on it.
You sir obviously do not understand how coding/programming (whichever term you prefer) works. If they bring over the Nost core they don't really have to edit player's items, the core will do it for them. The items run off the code in the core, adjust the core and it will adjust every item. And the characters aren't bugged themselves, the Elysium core itself is. The new core will fix the "Elysium bugs", it will just have whatever bugs Nost had. Copying over a DB isn't hard either, it's pretty much a ctrl-c and ctrl-v with some modifications here and there to adapt to the host. (I could go into exact specifics but don't feel like writing a wall of text.)
Both cores share a lot of similarities, both are designed off of Mangos (to my knowledge), it won't be NEARLY as difficult as you're making it out to be. Will it be out sooner than 4 weeks? Probably not, however you just seem very misinformed on how this whole thing works.
The continued server will not have any more bugs than the fresh server, so don't send fear into people to roll onto the fresh server. It's rather pointless, especially if you are giving people false information.
