I'm secretly wishing it takes that long for them to respond at all because they want to surprise us with the great news by pointing at a running server.
Like, having them make it run this weekend, then come on the forums and go: "Guys, we finally have some news........... It's right over theeeereeeee :DDD".

Probably expecting far too much, but it's still fun hoping for it. Well, that sounded nasty, what I mean to say is you guys are doing so well that I'm expecting too much from you.

They tweeted that an announcement would be made before the weekend. Hopefully it comes soon. Doing a launch during say Thur/Fri would get a bunch of players through starting zones before the weekend rush which would just make the launch go smoother, imo.

No, they tweeted that there would be an announcement before this "we."

If the PVE server goes live, I plan to make my toons, run quickly to an inn and park them for a while for some rested xp .. then when the crowds lighten up I'll do my leveling :D

Yeah, they tweeted "We," and for all we know that could mean before the world ends, ha ha. Seriously though, hopefully it was an acronym for week end.

"One bubble of rested XP (5% of a level) is earned for every 8 hours spent resting. A maximum of 30 bubbles (150% of a level) may be earned. In other words, you can leave your character resting in an inn or capital city for up to 10 days (without gaining experience) before you earn the maximum amount of rest state, and a resting character stores up one full level of rest in 160 hours (6 days, 16 hours)."
I dont think it makes much of a difference considering your chars are at level 1. getting a good headstart by playing all through the night would make a much bigger difference in my opinion.

Yes, I guess I could just just wait two weeks for the intial influx to die down, and do it with no rested xp at all. No difference really. I just thought it would make a small difference.

You might want to save a name, though.

That's my main concern. It may just be a "me" thing, but having a name I like is probably one of the most important aspects of getting into a character.
