Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I wanted to play on this server, but i play a rogue, and since its a vanilla server i feel like there are going to be tons of other rogues, is that true? are there any overused classes?

look at the sticky of the A/H ratio someone has a chart that shows number of people on as well as a chart showing which classes are 60

There are loads of rogues.
Be good and you will find a place.
Be middle of the pack and you are better off as priest/shaman/healer x.
Same as warrior. Plenty fury warriors.
You have to invest time and dedication to be the very best.

As you can see finding a group might be easier as a druid or a priest, but is this what you really want?
Do you want to heal the bad rogues? Spam 1 button on bosses as a mage?
Will you be bored of your character 2-3 weeks after getting to 60?

If you cant but play rogue... well... /join world -> yet another rogue LFG ubrs

Lots of fury warriors, but not many tanking prot-specced warriors around.

Seriously, if I were to focus on my prot-spec warrior more, I could fund myself purely off of greed drops and such from all the instances. If you are a good tank, everyone and their dog will love you. Just look at the LF1M posts in the Trade channel in cities, it's almost always for a tank to fill the last spot. You'll only see tanks say they're looking for a group for an instance once, they don't spam the channels looking for a group because they don't need to. As someone who intends on tanking the instances, I'll go out of my way and say that aside from the obvious healers, I am a huge fan of mages who know what they are doing. Mages are great for their damage obviously, but also sheeping the worst kind of enemy in a group, whether that be a mage or a healer is a godsend. The food and drinks they summon is nice for the casters after a fight obviously.

We are making the pure classes jelly with our 1337 dps

I'm a little bit 'confused' about my class choice. I have to work at different times, so its hard for me to find a raid spot without thinking about class choice. I play rogue now since 9 years and know how to play it, but I see loads of rogues on nostalrius and I ask myself if its worth to max a rogue for me. Any suggestions on that? Which DPS classes are still needed in 5/10 and raids?
What about Hunter?
