Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Looking into creating some How-To boss videos, just started the first one! leave comments on what you guys would like to see from the more experienced raiders. The videos are to help out those whom have never done the content or are fresh guilds starting up! Good luck everyone and enjoy the raiding content Nostalrius has to offer.


First video ive created is for Onyxia 40 man Raid. Simple strats and video footage.

you should probably use a larger font in your videos, you dont need to have all the info in the screen at all times, people can just pause the video, but if use this small font is kinda hard to read from 360 quality for people with shitty internet, even in hd is kinda harder to the eyes

Pretty good video overall tho, I'm a noob at vanilla so I guess today I learned how to do Onyxia

EDIT: one last thing, you should probably add a list of the addons you are using since people like me eventually are going to ask.. whats the tooltip addon that shows info about the mob in the video?

Mobinfo 2 is the addon for displaying HP / ARMOR / RESIST and even loot drops from the boss! Also thanks for all the great input and suggestions. Very helpful for the next videos.

Constructive criticism:

Too much text for a video. If I wanted text I would just read a guide.

I really liked Ciderhelm's videos back during Ulduar progression. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7TcxJY1VQw

Adding some large text as bullet points near the bottom of the screen could add to the video, if you really want to include text

They only feedback you got was too much info presented and text hard to read. I could see ot fine from my phone so ignore the resolition concerns.

The more info the better.

What good is a video if you dont know why people stand where, and the whole 9 yards.

Also why do I want to read a guild seperate from a vid? Not all syrats are the same, you need a visual with what you read to be best prepared.

I think ZG ones would be good. Showing OT eating silence tatic, ranged staying 30+ yards to avoid spits and work through there, then start bwl ones.

Eventally put the links to each guide in a thread and get it stickied.

Great input, less text away from video seems to be what more want. In the video i did both to see what type of feedback i could aquire. Text seperate from video as well as Text and images on video footage in Phase2.

Thanks for the input and compliments here as well! I appreciate it. ZG sounds like a great idea and i may start working on those as well. Up n coming guilds will most likely start w MC + ONY + ZG. i feel that BWL should be put on the back burner for now until those are done. Same with world dragons.

As for the stickied part well i really want to refine these vods before i request Sticky from the GMs. As a reminder to all if you want to see more or less of something don't hesitate to comment! I want to make these vods better for the whole community.
