After playing both Nostalrius & Kronos

i'm playing on kronos atm and keep raiding on nost : http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer ... layer=Noxm

Kronos before 7x event = 400 players
Kronos 7x event day = 1800 players
Kronos today = 1400 players

When i started on Kronos i thank its would be a 100% script server who is sadly not :
- Mob pathfinding is fucked (Cavern, boat...)
- BRD nos > BRD Kronos
- They have 1.12 item out and upgrade ...
- in BG GY are sometimes bug and you wait 30 more sec
- Some boss and quest are heavy buggy
- if you havent a guild, you cant found easly 5 men / 10 men
- You can buy crossfaction faction (gnome + kodo = kek)

+ No lag cause no pop
+ PvP engeneer work

you know why there isn't lag?

because there is less then 300 players on the server

There were ~2k players online yesterday @Kronos and no lag. So you can throw that argument out of the window right there.

Nostalrius server lag when pop > 6-7k your are an idiot.

should have seen the unscripted lunar festival event. when you use a rocket cluster, it spawns a rocket and explodes. killing you for 10k fire damage

i died several times to rockets but guess what.... i got my festive pink dress. Something you can't achieve on nost after 2 years of the event running.
Some things on kronos are done better, the fireworks hanging in the cities explode when you click them. The Stalven quest was done better (I'm only lvl 35 so haven't experienced end game stuff.) I can see that some of the attention to detail is better on some things. Some things are worse, like over half the animals in the world seem to be asleep and once when i attacked a bear two came. The leash on mobs is much shorter so you don't have to run half way across the world to get out of combat like you do on nost. On kronos the boats don't work for mac users On Kronos you'll see people multiboxing with 5 toons on follow. I'm glad nost doesn't allow that.

Not sure why people get so competitive about these things. I won't be leaving Nostalrius but I'm enjoying seeing how kronos decided to do things. I'm sure they put a lot of work and love into it and the small community they have there seems nice.

i dont understand why ppl have to get so fanboy-y and start shitting on either server because they're like the other better.

i have only levelled to 35 on kronos with x7 and i enjoyed the draw distance, lag-free-ness and the ability to swap out bags without having to empty them out first. also on kronos you can out-los on trees.

then again my demon/pet bugged out a lot, while nost lets pets despawn correctly most of the time when you get out of range.

either server would probably be decent enough to play on but while i have 1 year's worth of shit on nost (2x 60s, rank, gold, gear, mats) that i would hate to leave behind K has no 6k chinamen and GM sanctioned wintraders. it is mostly the policies, their enforcements and the GM practices of nost that could maybe drive me to change, tho.

These are CLEARLY Kronos shills advertising on our forums. It's word-for-word the same shit as on other sites where they are advertising.

OP was PERMABANNED for gold trafficking. He is posting here because the 7x funserver rate marketing scheme is failing on Kronos. Yes, there are 700 on per faction, BUT most people are MULTIBOXING 5 TOONS, which is legal on Kronos. So REAL pop is more like 250 each side. When the 2-months of 7x end, we go right back to Kronos being an obscure, poorly-scripted hell-hole of tears and sexual frustration.

While they think it's a good advertising gimmick, it actually permanently taints their server for those that want the complete Vanilla experience.

Yes, me and my friends actually left Kronos forever due to the 7x gimmick. I'll never play there again

(1) because the GMs lied to me and told me they were committed to Blizzlike, then switched to 7x two months later just to pull in more donations

(2) because of the way that the server is forever tainted, not only by this two month event, but also by all the other non-Blizzlike crap, making any achievements earned on the server total bullshit


(a) Kronos is set up to allow GMs and their friends to cheat. It's a running joke that GM guildies can't be banned, and they exploit, hack, and grief, then taunt people who report them, mocking them and saying they can't be banned.

(b) these same cheaters with special privileges try to make the insane argument that they are "top WoW players." Tryharding for this status is part of why Kro-bots spend so much time touting how "Blizzlike" their server is and shitting all over Nostalrius.

Luckily, I have a 60 and a 40 here, so I don't have to put up with that shit just to do endgame. I'd honestly even rather play VanillaGaming than funserver Kronos. Just happy to have Nost. ;D

Yup, I don't get it either. So much pointless fighting and flaming.

Sadly the lag on Nost always drives me away, but if they fix that on way or another, I'll definitely be spending more time here (although I'm not exactly excited about all that GM related stuff you mentioned as well.) Would be nice to play with pet's that actually work.

One thing I noticed on Kronos is that I made my second warlock there couple days ago (first I only got to like 45 last year), and it drives me absolutely mad because it keeps spamming the torment ability even when it's on cooldown. So I can basically hear the spam all the time if I'm close enough. Which then means I play a lot with my sounds off. And that's just bs.

Anyway, I never noticed this last summer on my first warlock in those 45 levels, so I've no idea what's going on.

I bet those people doesn't even care about other server. It does look like "shitting", because Kronos fanboys started this war with all these accusations on Nost almost a year ago. Like "pft, your Nost is full of bugs, and all your huge playerbase is just a bunch of bots (there was even a investigation, with "proofs" uploaded to youtube, lol), and while you peasants are wasting your time in this sh*thole, we, the elite players, spending our time on precious, bug free, elitist server of K", there is a few of us, but we are 100% untoxic society clean from bots and chinafarmers"
