Dodgykebaab's biased Server reviews

The server rushed its launch, no open beta, no testing for exploits, and suffered tremendously from that choice. There was a ton of shit for Dodgy to find and be sad about.

Kronos had three and half weeks of open beta testing, exploit and hack fixes pre launch, and surprise surprise, no one was able to get an Epic mount within the first 2 weeks of play. So there was Less. Shit. For. Dodgy. To. Find.

Being mad about Kronos getting a better review is like getting mad that the moon doesn't light up the sky as brightly as the sun.

I used to like most of dodgykebaab videos. I even played on some servers covered by him. But honestly, the Kronos review is clearly not objective at all. Also, is clear the emphasis to the negative points on Nos review and to the positive points on Kronos review. Huge problems as population and the time waiting for BGs wasn't even scratched. As a reviewer, is his job to show how good/bad is the server, from the most objective perspective possible (otherwise, we should register, download, install, create a char, explore etc and discover all by ourselves). A vid that doesn't follow this rule can't be entitled as a review. This was a bad move, that actually can be a harm to Kronos, once a potential new player will easly notice how selective is the "review".

Ah, and the "nostrils" joke SUCKS. Really.

Holy cow at least someone who saw it like I did....this is more or less what I thought!
And as I mentioned, I am still playing on Kronos by the way and the main purpose of this thread was NOT kronos vs nost, it was the 'review' style of dodgykebab.

Also Gonaro, the nostrils jokes are funny as hell, you might not think so, and thats ok because everybody laugh at different things, but the fact you have to come here and tell everybody how not funny they are, just shows you're butthurt by the review as well. Dodgy noticed the brilliant quality and the well made scripting on Kronos, and he told that in his review, I noticed the same thing, and although I have a level 30 on nos, there was just no going back after I invested some time into Kronos, the quality is superior and thats fact. But hey, you got the population going your way, thats for sure! Our population is fine and before Nos entered the scene Kronos pop was considered to be high on pvt servers, you guys just broke the ceiling with your insane population, kudos. But for me its all about quality and decent community and Kronos have both.

Also, keep up the good reviews Dodgykebaab! You're hilarious indeed!

From what I've seen of your videos; the servers that give you free handouts are the ones you recommend most, which is kind of the opposite of what you should be doing. I would not go as far as to call you corrupt... just a generally crap reviewer that I question why anyone would pay any attention to. I watch a lot of review channels, and they are actually good at it. You should be taking lessons from them. Your channel is a joke compared to MMOGrinder, although he does not cover private WoW servers(fortunately for you).

I honestly think you may as well not have bothered with this server, because your video was obsolete the day it went up. You played to like L20(A regular player can do this in 2 days easily), then just quit because you didn't get a handout. In your 10min or so video, you spent most of this time complaining about constant DCs or the lack of a handout players shouldn't even be getting. Btw, the day your video went up, server crashes were already down to like 1-2 per day. So your video is almost entirely worthless. But hey, thanks for the coverage and views. HF at Kronos with your free 60.

Well I think a review should tell a viewer how a server feels to play. I construct my videos in a way that conveys how I felt about the server.

If I made videos to the spec you are saying:
They would be boring,
I'd be bored making them,
They would be just a list of works / doesn't work,
They would be 10 times the duration,
I wouldn't have time to spend with my family or go to work.

Either way, we are both wrong. A review is much simpler than either of what we are saying. A review is just an opinion, nothing more. A valid review could also be "It was shit" or "I liked it".

But my main point is what I brought up first. My reviews are not lists. My reviews are the video representations of the feelings I got while playing the server. Not, whether or not spells have correct cast times are not.

So Dodgy. How much money did Kronos pay you to talk good about the server? You know Kronos is shiet and left out many things in your review. Also Kronos is pay to win.

Really? A friend of mine played on Kronos. The zones are empty, the community and chat filled with russians and rude people. The server is very unstable with disconnects and rollbacks every 30 min. I truly believe him and that's why I play here.

if you watch the reviews he always level around 20 to show a bit of early game and the common bugs you can notice immediately, then he ask for a high level char to show the mid/endgame and are only test chars, he didn't get any advantage or free chars.
nos isn't a bad server but we all know that it get all the players because the release was rushed, and ppl tend to go where there are more ppl (see lolten). if he enjoyed more kronos and he think it deserve more ppl that's all.
if you aren't happy with this you can pay him like 15$ at hour for level a char from 1-60 in both servers and make an in-depth review.
plus the best thing of pservers is that they are free, so you can try both without have to trust the word of anyone.
and for last i never regret a server that dodgy show positively.
