I'd like to share a story: a Kronos story

Discuss anything here. But do not forget that our rules still apply !

I don't see OP as an exploiter; I see him as caught up in server mistakes and being unreasonably punished.

This is the first I've heard of poor management at Kronos; I will keep my ears open to see if more stories crop up.

being unreasonably punished

I think going Ragnaros 3 times per week is reasonable enough.

"These guys" are not saying it. The guild leader (or I assume it was he) is the one who said that, in a clear attempt of blackmail. I highly doubt any of the server staff here made any agreement like that, as they've declined other requests previously. Just because some guy says something doesn't make it true.

As far as "we" is concerned, that's not up to you or me or anyone else that isn't server staff.

As far as "welcoming these exploiters" if you read the story, that same guild leader essentially scammed a bunch of new recruits who had no idea what was going on prior to their joining.

There are multiple groups of people affected by this, some cheated a little, some didn't cheat intentionally or knowingly, but all groups were given the harsh punishment because the guild leader decided he wanted to try to blackmail the staff. But should the whole guild be held accountable for the guild leader's actions? Why stop there, why not hold all of the horde responsible? Why not just reset the server to day 0?

Let your mud dry out.

Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody, gets a "free 60" character on Nostalrius. Anyone who claims to have gotten one or that has made a deal with Nostalrius staff to get one, is lying.

It's an "ok" server but really only cattered to European players, and truly that will never be enough to make your private server survive. The server that wins is the one that impresses the NA English speaking players the best, that's always been the only factor.

GMs and Administrators making terrible and rash decisions is a common thing on private servers. The Kronos staff really seems to believe that what they did was just.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid to say, Nostalrius isn't exactly free of unintelligent staff and GMs either. In my opinion, the only one with a brain is probably Daemon.

A few examples from Nostalrius's Staff/GMs:
-Bajavvi gets restored by Viper + GMs
-Clank says updated rank items will be purchasable by people who deranked, Daemon says the opposite (Daemon is correct)
-GMs teleport Zetox to MC, Viper lies, then tells the truth.

The thing that bothers me about the Kronos community is that they will do everything in their power to talk bad about Nostalrius.

a good example is this reddit thread where i found Nostalrius
https://www.reddit.com/r/wowservers/com ... 6k_online/

everypositive comment about Nost is getting downvoted while Kronos is getting upvoted. sad really.

Nos community does the same thing. They spreading lies on reddit, nostalrius forum about Kronos. On Kronos open beta they were people from nostalrius spamming world chat with insults to Kronos GMs and list goes on. I think that both communities are pretty much same.

The best way to determine is to try for yourself, and as someone who started on Kronos, I'll say that nost is better. Population is the most important factor imo. The problem in OP is that they likely didn't have any alternative except going to that guild that burned them, because what else are they going to do, just not raid? Leveling on Kronos is like playing a single player game. Arguably you could say Nost is worse because of the ganking and fighting over spawns.... but... that's a minor inconvenience considering you actually have people to play with.
