Some people are just too lazy to learn English, I am talking about the Russians and the French for example.

There's also nothing stopping people from making guilds where the main language is something other than English. I see ads all the time in World Chat for Greek/Russian/Portuguese Guilds, and that's great, but without having an official language for the server, there would be chaos in Trade/World chats.

I'm Danish but speak English and Swedish fluently as well as some Icelandic and Quenya elvish (life is overrated). It is annoying when people type in other languages in world, trade etc. Even more annoying if it's one of my languages because then I just feel embarrassed for my own people :(

Do you seriously believe that all no native english speakers feel uncomfortable in a community where their own language isn't the primary language spoken? Give me a break. It's an english server. I'm swedish and I'd rather have it that people speak in a language that everyone (sorry apparantly not everyone despite playing on, as mentioned, an english server) can understand than dividing the community up in camps depending on what nation you're from.

maybe some people just dont care about learning english because they dont need it in their lives?

Chill, chill, man....
Speak for yourself. Russians are good in it. Studying English is required in russian system of education.
But a lot of people are lazy to use it and improve foreign language skills. And lose their skills and experience. Thats it.
Its hard to find english speaking people here in Russia. The only way to talk to foreighners is internet and online games.
And what abouth French? Are they lazy too? No... French is Gallo-Romance, and less rooted with othrer Romance language groups. Simply its hard to speak both English and French. More harder than Russians do.
I'm Russian. In our country we have vodka, balalaika, matreshka, bears... and also a "Topol-M" :D
