I gave up on official WoW right before they announced MoP... Cataclysm was too much for me, WotLK already sucked too hard and TBC was boring as hell towards the end so no... Vanilla is the only true WoW.

Indeed, it is all this game was truly meant to be. I do not like the direction the current game has been taking, and it is for that reason that I find myself playing it less often. As I mentioned before, however, there are some things I still enjoy about it. I mainly return to it from time to time to see what their new content is like, out of curiosity, and to roleplay. I have always had fun roleplaying, and it is easier to do in the current game since there are more people and specific servers for it. If roleplay was easier to come across on Nostalrius, I'm sure I would appreciate it far more than I ever did in the current game.

Overall, being here has been a wonderful experience. People on the official forums say that the current game has made improvements, and is better now than classic ever was. Although I agree it has made improvements, I do not agree that it is better now than classic. Despite its improvements it has also changed, drastically, and most of those changes have not been good. They've taken so much away from the original game, and it saddens me. Looking upon it now, I would gladly trade those improvements for any chance to relive this time. I do not expect people playing the current game to understand, but I know everyone here would.

what i don't get is they make an attempt to balance the pvp with every patch, but before they can get it to a fair state they release the next expansion and change the classes all over again. whats the point in changing something if in 2 years time you're just going to change it again?
