"The Warring Period" among the smaller clans had just ended when ninja villages were starting to form. Clans split up across villages, or started banding together to form villages to increase their power. The first world war had begun shortly thereafter simply known as, "The Great War." The countries battled for territory and power. Territory represented resources and power was determined by the strength of ninja a village possessed.
The war raged on for 21 years. After many countless deaths from the war the countries reached a firm stalemate. Left with the only option to form an uneasy alliance with one another the countries signed a treaty. They agreed to work together to create the most fair and balanced way to split their resources and manpower.
Now that the war has just ended the five major ninja nations team up and form the Shinobi Alliance. At the head of this independent organization is Shiko Nara. Each village has appointed one ambassador to represent their countries best interest and then report to Shiko. Tensions are high and relations are unsteady at this time. Many ninja feel resentful and wish to seek revenge for their fallen comrades.
The organization currently operates as a base of operations and a hub for missions. Although the Kage still deliver missions through their respective villages, the Alliance handles diplomatic missions. Shiko may summon ninja from any of the allied nations for special missions.
Unbeknownst to the world at large a dark threat looms.
