Kronos is a funserver, Nostalrius is a corrupt-chinese-ran server. Too different to compare really.

Nost is working on server Clustering to handle the large amounts of players, the difference in lag is purely based on the difference in players. Kronos has less lag because it has much less players, so of course Nost will be laggier.

Hopefully when they get the clustering improvements completed thngs will get much smoother.

Why is anyone paying attention to the opinion of a guy who was permabanned from Nost 2 months ago? I'm sure he has no biased opinions.

While they think it's a good advertising gimmick, it actually permanently taints their server for those that want the complete Vanilla experience.

seems 1-7x is purely optional and the user can change anytime with a command

too bad gold gains werent affected the same way, not really a problem but just a nuisance

There were ~2k players online yesterday @Kronos and no lag. So you can throw that argument out of the window right there.

Its a precedent if nothing else. You would never feel quite sure that they will never do anything like this again. If their population doesn't reach its goal i'm not confident that they would not implement some special stuff.

Thats the appeal of Nost. You know 100% where this thing is going.

Also that 1 month x7. What do you think that will do? Maybe an influx for that 1 month. After that you will suddenly have a drop in intrest with alot less fresh 60s and people leveling. Because once that month is over i see little reason, even with the lag, to pick any server over Nost. And that will ruin the gameplay, economy, BGs etc for the people who did 1-60 wiht x7.
I'd much rather have my small delay on Nost and be on a server that is alive then give days of gameplay to another project and see that server die
