Wait for a legit alternative for Nostralius to pop up. Patience will be required. Someone on the sub-reddit who lives in Finland has already talked about starting a non-profit and using the source code the Nost team is gong to release to reboot the project.

Kronos is a great option to reroll right now on. TONS of Nost has already started there and the Kronos servers are currently capped with queue times due to the rush of players heading there. If you want a populated experience like you had on Nost then hop on over and get started (assuming they haven't disabled account creation temporarily yet).

All these hardcore Nost fanboys are going to shoot down any other private server since they're still grieving, but they will come to terms once this sinks in and they need to play Vanilla again. If you're not as closed minded and actually try this server you'll understand it's a great alternative. There's no pay to win whatsoever..it's donate for cosmetics and that's it, no advantages. Anyone who says "Kronos sux" or "Shit server" etc are the nost die hards that have always talked shit about it without ever trying it.

Population is KEY for WoW, and Kronos is as of now currently #1 in that aspect for Vanilla private servers.

We have no intention of disrespect. We are grateful for the dev and gm's have done and are still doing. We are NOT betraying. We are making sure that we have a place to GATHER, until nostalrius fixes this, or it ends. Kronos is a waiting spot for now, but if it turns out that Nostarius will not revive, that will be our permanent server

Not a Nost fanboy and I will still say repeatedly that Kronos is not a viable option if you wish to play Classic WoW. I spent considerable time there and I can tell you that it is indeed pay to win. You buy characters from their auction with Stars but you pay real money for these stars. It is also the furthest thing from real vanilla that I have seen in a very long time. The fanboys from Kronos will tell you that it is better scripted than anywhere else but this is not true. The devs have spent some time on little seen events and even I can appreciate their efforts there. The fact remains, however, that most of the scripting is subpar to what we have gotten used to here on Nost.

Bottom line is: many of us have left Kronos for various reasons and very few will recommend it.
