You are completely clueless on this issue I'm afraid.

If you had played on Nost PvP towards the end you will be familiar with the player stats from the realm. This showed that the pop was at an unsustainable level of 13k and that about 30% of that were Chinese in origin.

The top 10 guilds included 3-4 Chinese guilds and the most played class was mage. Unfortunately, the mage class was purely to allow AOE farming for gold generation.

While I'm sure the Nost GM's will disagree, the PvP server was at the point of being unplayable. Part of the reason (apart from the economy) is that the Chinese community - even apart from the gold farming element - does not speak English.

Vanilla WoW is a community game and the language of the Nost/Crestfall server is English. In Nost we had a substantial part of the community that couldn't communicate with the other and chose not to do so.

It's not racist to say this. It is the facts of life.

Crestfall is essentially an EU/NA server and English is the lingua franca. The devs/mods have a particular issue with gold farming and the banning of VPN's (at present, still to be decided as a VPN whitelist is being discussed) is a natural decision to be made to protect the integrity of the economy.

The facility to allow a Chinese realm is viable option if the Chinese community show enough interest. A Discord channel is available for wider discussions. Even still, I would suspect the server to be inundated with DDoS attacks that originate from China because of this stance.

TL;DR Crestfall is not racist. Decisions are based on previous experiences that we have all had in retail and private servers. If you are Chinese a realm will be made available if you get off your collective arses and make an effort.

Are you giving an apologetic flock to justify racism , the Chinese are not the only ones in the world to make gold farm (I had several Chinese friends here in nostalrius who spoke better English than I), what happened was the same as saying that all Muslims are terrorists , that all blacks are thieves , all Brazilians are trolls .. It is acceptable to banish some for not obeying the rules of the server but not 1/5 of the world .. is a racist server and this must be made clear to those who resolve to play for her.

You must have misunderstood. Anything with at least one stamina or strength in it will be valid for plate. Therefore all three of those would be available.

The only ones that aren't, for plate, are "of Agility", "of Spirit", "of Intellect", "of the Owl", "of the Wolf" and "of the Falcon".

I spoke to some of the Alphas and we looked into it some more. It appears that mail has a switchover at level 40, the point where hunters/shamams switch from leather to mail, and where warriors/paladins switch from mail to plate.
Before level 40 it has the same restrictions as plate gear does,no "of Agility" or "of Intellect" or "of Spirit", or "of the Wolf" or "of the Owl" or "of the Falcon".
After level 40 it changes, all those are allowed, Nature's Wrath is added, and there is no more "of Strength", "of the Tiger", "of the Gorilla" or "of the Boar" or "of the Bear".



Now I remember why half our paladins wore dresses when we started MC.

Items of this type are normally uncommon (greens), although rare (blue) ones exist.

Well, any private server with Imbaslap working on I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole but that's just me.

That being said, the lead dev for Crestfall seems to be out of his depth overall with blizzlike Vanilla attributes, stats, abilities, etc...

First and foremost, yesterday I wrote a basic implementation of the spell delay system that many have talked about, especially when it comes to TBC. Basically, many abilities (Self-cast and some other rules not included) have a "delay" into them. This delay is created by spells being queued for an update that processes every 400ms. So for example, if you hit a mob with curse of agony, your spell cast and everything is immediate, but actual application of the debuff can be from instant to 400ms (if you're unlucky). The same goes for healing spells(when used on a target other than yourself). This is how two mages could end up sheeping each other, two warriors charging each other, etc. It will definitely make things feel a bit different, but in a good way.

So once again we'll just reinforce the positive.

Crestfall is using their own core, so unlike every other MaNGOS server, all the usual bugs like pathing, loot, boss mechanics and functionality of the server is intended to be as Blizzlike as possible.

They are the only server offering PvP and PvE realms from the start

They are the only server to offer PTE or progression through expansion so people can start off in vanilla and work their way through TBC, WotLK etc.

Their forums are a work of art in terms of functionality and member participation

The devs update twice per week which include bug fixes, progress, issues and videos.

In addition you can pick up streams and stop in for chat on Discord where they are only too happy to answer any questions.

How good is it going to be? We don't know. The optics are excellent but before we get to open Beta and PTR we really can't be sure. If you're reading this and want to make your own objective opinion the forums are here:

In the meantime, people will continue to troll this thread for their own myopic reasons. But the main issue they have is fear. If CF is as good as we all think it will be then most other servers will be decimated in terms of population, people will leave for a better realm, or a PvE realm, or a PTE realm. Why would you stay around in a backwater with no-one to play with?

So read through the lies and join the forum, make your own mind up, that's why you have one.

Ugh, I dont even know why I bother to answer you again but. I checked with the Crestfall people are those items are just greens. We still get lots of pally greens, stuff with intellect etc. They just nerf all greens to make the content harder, as in other vanilla servers people could show up in green gear because they provided better bonuses than most blues. So they changed it, and I love that!
Yes they will still use mostly 1.12.1 items, but the raids will be tuned to still provide a challange. And now you will scream 500% blizzlike again, and I dont care. Its still an almost perfect dream server for most of us. We will see when beta comes. But you are your Bob Masculo alter ego are just really pathetic doing everything to badmouth this server while you talk so much BS about how good Elysium are. I dont understand how anyone could spend this much time just to try to ruin a servers reputation. I guess you are afraid that people will flock from Elysium to Crestfall once it comes out. And guess what, thats gonna happen anyway, no matter how much you try, in the end you are just wasting your life.

You know what's funny? Smilkov here was actually pretty tightly wrapped around CF's dick until one of the moderators said "slav" and Smilkov started foaming from the mouth saying it's "racist" and that he deserves an apology. After multiple people there called him an idiot (for the slav thing AND his numbing obsession with holy resistance or whatever) he decided that he is now our mortal enemy and must do everything in his power to harm our progress. Course' he's the only one who thinks he's getting anywhere with that. He also decided that Elysium is his new home and he must defend it by spewing absolute bullshit about it (saying it's a quality server kek). Whether he defends a server or attacks it all he has at his disposal is bullshit.
