population is the not problem for pve shards, since nost pve had a healthy blizzlike pop. no other server really did. every dev wants to be the next big stock mangos pvp shard with 8k+ players but that will never happen again, atleast not for [insert your favorite stock mangos pvp shard that has premades actively dodge each other].
zones weren't designed for those numbers in mind too. everyone can play on their shitty overpopulated lagfest shards for all I care. inb4 you're just a pve carebear argument, I had a r9 ele/resto shaman in dungeon blues that spanked wrath 1vs1 on nost pvp but decided to jump over to pve shard and start all over again.
even with hopeful expectations this server won't go anywhere because everyone is comfy on their EZ raid casual shards with p2w shop.
What?
I don't get you at all.
If this is directed at Crestfall then you do realise that the core/emulator is not MaNGOS?
You do realise that they are using clustering to get over any lag issues, something Nost wanted to implement but never got close to?
You understand that there are two starting realms, PvP and PvE?
You comprehend that the max pop is capped at 5500 per realm?
So the realms can take 11,000 players online at any one time?
That there is and never will be a P2W shop? The only things you can buy, if it actually takes place, are pre 1.4 mounts, special pets and realm transfers? That the decision to have a trinket shop is only if private donations don't raise enough money to keep the servers running?
