I'm a huge fan of Nostalrius myself, but the fact that they're using bots is just lame.. I mean the population is probably around 2k or so without the bots, so why even bother using them?

That video only shows that:
1) the number of players from /who dislays both factions.
No shit sherloc. How is this related to the use of bots? The staff explained themselves that this number included both factions.

2) it is possible to add bots to a server.
Good, another thing everyone knows and proofs nothing. It possible to add silicon boobs to a man, does it mean Obama has boobs?

3) He sent whispers message to players and got the "player is not in game" message.
That is what you got when trying to speak to a disconnecting player. I could do the same video on any other server!

It is really retarded to think this video proofs Nostalrius uses bots in any way.

About 3), I could even do it with the player staying in game for far more than 20 sec. Just synchronize yourself with a friend. He alt-F4, then you wisp him, get the "player is not in game message". He immediatly reconnects. He alt-f4 again, and you wisp him, getting the message again. You can continue that for ages.

Lets say there are 2500 people on each side, i guess about 1500 is below lvl 25 (like i am)

There are about 15 areas you can be in with this lvl and this which makes about 100 players in each area (like Westfall etc.)
This number seems accurate for me: I never got a message: "this player aint online, when i asked for food, groups, a rogue to open a chest, buffs etc. " and almost all quests i do i do with 10 other peoples bitching about the mobs.


I just dont get why you think 5k seems so unrealistic
1000 players on each side would almost fit with the low populated retail server atm and you cant tell me on this server is only so sparsely populated.
