slighty on topic, what would a shard look like that had 'friendly fire' enabled for aoe abilities?

Alright. Could we get back to Crestfall and ignore this clown now? Yes I know I was part of the OT brigade here, but chances are Pottu is just going to close this thread as well any time now and that just what Duki wants.

What you guys thought about the alpha preview? The only thing that bothered me abit was the charge landing too close. If the mobs are moving towards you when you charge you are going to end up behind them, like you did on Nost, so you have to backpedal/turnaround everytime you charge, very frustrating. Hopefully they'll get this right.

I believe that was in large part due to the selection of the charge target.
You can see the difference between the NPC that is stun immune (so as soon as the attack is initiated it starts moving towards the player) and when they show it with a player target that is not stun immune (the charging player lands exactly where they should).

Hello everyone.

So a lot of recent developments on Crestfall to make you aware of.

First the webserver has been moved to a new home to meet with demand. The added advantage of bandwidth means that the forums are uploading efficiently and the error messages that were appearing all too frequently have been dispatched with prejudice.

Second, we've had another of Darkrasp's weekly updates. These updates are a lot of fun and are aimed at those of us who don't have in-depth knowledge of the game and want to learn more. Third, head developer Asura has announced the date of closed Beta, December 26th (2016). This is over three months passed their original target of end summer. The devs acknowledge that in this regard, they would have been better off not setting a date unless they were sure of it. Lesson learnt. Dates now given they will adhere to. Crestfall Gaming's vanilla Closed Beta will begin on December 26th, 2016. This date was decided on due to a majority of the staff being available due to Christmas/New Year holidays, allowing us to smooth out any issues that may occur when closed beta begins. While we could prepare the closed beta by an earlier date, it would be a shame to rush something we promised we'd do correctly. This time frame provides us with enough time prior to the beta starting that we don't need to worry about breaking our promise, as well as giving a month or so for volunteers to start working with our scripting engine.

After Closed Beta begins, we will slowly start allowing more people in weekly until we move into open beta, where everyone can join in and help test. We have no estimated time on how long closed beta itself will last, but it will definitely not last as long as our alpha did. We will also be providing our progress page shortly, but instead of it being progress from phase to phase, it will be a progress report for launch itself.

We look forward to having more people join us as we push into beta and continue our work. At the beginning of December, the beta sign-up page will be launched and information on invite waves as well as actual testing progression will be announced.
