For those of you trying to give the moderators crap about their moderation techniques, have you ever moderated a forum? Do you know how many reports you have to sift through? I moderated a forum that had over 100k members. We had a small staff of 15. I would routinely check the forum once every hour or two. There would be at least 15 reported posts for me to sift through. After I woke up the number would be over 30, because half of the team were on the same schedule as me.

They usually moderate the reported posts before browsing the forums.(with how toxic this community is compared to the site I moderated, I don't think they have time to actively moderate non reported posts) This isn't selective punishment, this is your peers reporting your posts and topics for the moderation team to edit/delete/move. You find a post that should be moderated as well? Put it in the moderation queue by reporting it!

No, but I am in paid employment, and if I used the pressures of the job as an excuse for being shit at it, then I would expect to be replaced with someone who could do the job, and rightfully so.

Seriously, why people feel they're entitled to have jobs they can't do is just beyond me.

Like I said earlier, how do you know the job isn't done? They obviously are taking reports and editing/deleting/moving as needed. Key words "as needed" those posts were reported, and they took care of them. 90% of moderated posts on all forums are from the community reporting the post. This isn't limited to just this forum. Even big forums like XDA developers (over 4 million members) have a report system in place as it is unreasonable to request the moderation team to police every single post that comes in.

You can't expect a moderation team to keep tabs on everything. Like Viper said earlier, show proof of them being incompetent and he will take necessary action. So far with all the edits I have seen and the moderators in question's actions, I see no need of removing them from their position. Then again, I am not a toxic member who tried to make off color jokes (edited post discussed earlier in this thread) or one who berates other players.

I am sure there is a hidden section of this forum for staff members and rules they have to follow and regulations of activity time per day. The two staff members in question have probably followed the guidelines as needed. Please submit proof of your allegations and not go off hearsay.

This whole topic is already filled with many normal players like me who probably hate the most all the trolls/toxic people that, under the guise of "irony" like to hide personal attacks...

If you all want to put it in that "sarcastic" way as only the toxic people like to do, just say it.

*sarcastic on*
We will organize and all try to lower ourselves to the level of maturity that so far you have shown (so at a "neverborn" level maybe?) with every single one of your many useless posts (that keep aggravating the workload of admin and moderators)

And guess what?
Since you are in the art of "trolls", and trolls are never the good thing, you missed one point, just because of this:

P.S: By the way, "White Knight", such an honour, I'll gladly take it as a compliment, thanks.

I'm pretty sure a fireman's job doesn't involve blasting a hose at buildings they don't particularly like. But then again, I'm not a fireman so what do I know, right?

Yeah, you're clearly above getting involved in arguments on the internet.

Yes, disregard the whole other part of my post. That shows a good argument. Troll on and look like an incompetent boob. I explained in it's entirety the job of a forum moderator, which you actually admitted you do not know.

As for your analogy:
A fireman goes and fights fires at houses that gets called in.(moderators will put out "forum fires" that get reported) If the same house starts burning down and gets called into the 911 operator,(reported post) yeah, they will be there to "blast a hose" to put out the fire.(moderate the post)

Have a good day.

Yes, I understand what a moderator does. That wasn't the point of my analogy.

Sure, I disregarded most of your post. Mostly because it was largely irrelevant to anything we were discussing. Most of it seemed to be you trying to use me as a sounding board for your "hard" life as a moderator. Guess what? I'm not your therapist. THAT'S why I didn't dignify that with a response.

But do carry on with the ad hominem's. it's not making you look pathetic. Honest.

Edited out the insults and the blatant lying.

Since the discussion has clearly devolved down to mud flinging, I'm locking the thread.
